Really hope crowd spend less time getting on redknapp's back (despite my low opinion of him) and just focus on supporting team. Don't want him to be a distraction to getting an important 3 points.

League Cup 4th Round Draw - Stoke (Away)
Baird of the land replied to ozzmeister's topic in The Saints
Hmm not a good draw. -
Have no issue with people booing Chambers during the game. He pressed for a move to arsenal after only playing one season for us.
-
Yeah Chambers & Shaw in a heartbeat.
-
Very well done. Was very nice listening to five live commentators glowing about Saints performance. Hope we can rest and go again and put qpr to the sword at the weekend.
-
Yeah, not even given a start in a struggling team with a congested fixture list and missing their main striker.

Martin Samuel p*sses in our pool again.....

I can't say I fundamentally disagree with the notion that repeatedly ripping the guts out of the team each summer would be a bad idea. Some of the examples aren't comparable though. -
The ideal results for the weekend 27/28 Sept

As for the op's question us to win and all the big teams(city, utd,Liverpool, arsenal,Tottenham, Everton,Chelsea) to either lose or if they play each other draw. Love watching them squirm for as long as possible. -
Yeah very much this. Cracking player who has made a poor move(no doubt a very lucrative one though). Assume he'll finally get a chance after the horror show against Leicester though.

Indeed them folding against Burton in the previous round means they'll be fresh for Saturday whilst we've a tough game against Arsenal. -
Does make somewhat sobering viewing, though away win at anfield last season was an excellent anomalous result. First 2 results this season were disappointing but hopefully we can keep this run going.
-
Is it just me of does Gardos pick make him look about 12.
-
Looking like city will remain 3 points behind us. Happy enough with that, even if it won't last.
-
Ha ha ha .. Man Utd
-
Reasonably happy with our current squad depth. I want to see the likes of Reed, Mcqueen, Targett on the bench, ready to step in if required and get experience in prem.
-
But there's always going to be contact with the player after 99% of tackles. I didn't get any sense of reckless follow through. I actually thought fonte's second was a yellow. Completely reckless and if the guy hadn't of jumped he would have taken him out. Jumping out of the way shouldn't get the fouler out of jail.
-
I'd like to see a few changes for this game, targett for one given another 90 minutes.
-
Couldn't understand why on match of the day they said fonte's first challenge was a booking. He got the ball well and truly first and while his trailing leg caught the man I can't see how that makes it a foul anymore than any other tackle.

Post-Match Reaction: Swansea 0-1 SAINTS
Baird of the land replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Didn't get to listen to game today as i was out playing myself. Glad Bony helped Saints out with a silly sending off in what was an extremely tough away game. Equally glad we took advantage off them having 10 men. Makes nice viewing seeing us 2nd. Absolutely love our midfield. To me its Morgan and 2 of 3 between davis/Cork/Wanyama. -
Artur Boruc joins Bournemouth on loan
Baird of the land replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Rather hyperbolic, since Davis was our keeper in the championship and one of the better ones too. -
Yeah utter craziness imo. Puts us at risk of losing a great little player for nothing, when we could tie him down now. It's not as if he's ever not put in 100%.

Artur Boruc joins Bournemouth on loan

Seems a sensible move, given boruc's clear unhappiness. Happy enough with Davis as back up in the short term. Hope there's a recall clause in case of serious injury for Forster. -
Sums up my feelings. He's been my favourite player of the recent bunch, ever since i was blown away by his play during our promotion season.
-
Personally thought Lallana was reasonably good in a mediocre Liverpool performance. Not bad considering he's been injured. Not happy with how he left but as you say it'll be whole season before we can judge whether he's going to carry on playing at the level he was for us last year.
-
Surely got to stick with the same team, just replace Mcqueen on the bench with Mane. It'll be interesting to see how we do against them. Was very pleased with last season's away win there.
