I'd like to see Reed get a runout in this game.

This is a game which is fraying my nerves. Wouldn't mind us getting Long on now. -

Mmm maybe time to bring Wanyama on. -
Still believe Shaw is amazingly talented and will end up shining. I believed at the time he'd have been better off staying with us one more season at least, rather than moving for financial rather than footballing reasons.

Only change possibly mane for long. Personally prefer balance of midfield with cork in for home games over less fluent but with defensive shield of wanyama.

Steven Davis signs contact extension until 2018

As a N.I and Saints fan i'm happy with this news. Slightly surprised at the length given his age but guess he wanted the security of a last long contract. As others have said, now sort out a contract for Cork. -
Was in Athens too. A truly great night. Delighted for Reeves, worked hard when he came on and hope he'll get many more caps and have chance to show abilities in more attacking areas of pitch in other games.

Lallana - Had To Leave - But Still Loves Us

Think the way he acted was totally shoddy. Can't see him mending bridges he burnt anytime soon. Still think he'll be a success at Liverpool if used right but now to me he's just some skillful mercenary that used to play for Saints -
Morgan's going to leave obviously. Jrod's i guess dependent on whether he signs a new contract and whether he comes back the same player in January. Then you've got the likes of Wanyama and Clyne who i'd hope the club would stand firm on. The main thing i'd say though is that any sale's can only be allowed to go through once Saints have a replacement in place. We don't want a repeat of appearance of turmoil, where players are leaving & waves of negativity surrounding the club.

Am/was heavily anti the 39th game notion, where the notion of everyone playing everyone else at home and away once was abandoned by adding an additional fixture. If they decide to go the NFL route with one fixture from the regular schedule played abroad etc i'd view it as not great but acceptable. There would have to be fair way of choosing rota for who loses a real home fixture and compensation for season ticket holders who lose out on one home fixture.

Morgan Schneiderlin comments in 'France Football' magazine

Agree its crazy to possibly lose someone as good as Cork, especially given the Morgan situation. We could end up having to spend large amounts just to get replacements of similar quality. Interesting to read Morgan's side of events. Glad his professionalism overruled his initial understandable disappointment. Shows how important the fan reaction to the crazy decision to sell Chambers was too. Otherwise we'd have likely done a deal and lost Morgan. -

Very poor display imo. Hope we get back to previous standards after international break. -

If you are going to take him off, surely cork should have been the replacement. -

Don't even think it was a foul personally. But if the ref thinks it is a foul it should possibly be a red. -

Agree, ref's being consistent but it doesn't suit Wanyama's strengths. Hence why i'd take him off. -

Wanyama is getting pulled up anytime he uses his body strength so hopefully we'll bring Cork on who might give us more fluency in the middle. -

getting penned in. Need to get some possession in their half. -
Really I can't see anything saving the Europa league, unless they do something about the champions league. It's the problem not the Europa league. Think the whole notion of champions league place for winners shows they have no real desire to deal with fundamental issues, it's just a gimmick.

Good to see Clyne finally getting recognition he deserves. Think Cork's good enough for squad, though glad he hasn't got called up. Hopefully he can nail down a regular starting spot for us and we can tie him down to a contract and then he can get that call up.

Sorry i'd still prefer Shaw, think he's going to get better and better. Bertrand is a decent replacement but older and not quite the same quality. Sadly united finally have been forced to play shaw, so that'll improve them.
