  1. Still can't pass but he didn't try today. Gave the ball simple to others that could. For away games like that Wanyama is perfect, though i'd still prefer someone like Cork who can offer more on the ball at times at home.

  3. Ok so before the game i wanted a performance and not to get hammered so i have to put disappointment in context. It was a decent display where we threw away chance to get at least an away point. After watching game, it seems clear we won't be challenging top 10 without top signings but we hopefully won't be relegated. So not great but not tragedy. Talk about aiming for europe seems farfetched given the issues at the back and the lack of cutting edge up front. Ratings Forster: 6, ok but save at end of 1st half was poor Clyne: 6 good going forward, at fault for goals defensively Bertrand: 7 good disply, keep playing like that and may be worth spending 10m on him. Not as good as shaw but good. Fonte: 6, hmm heart in mouth moments but not rank terribleness Yohida: 6, hmm heart in mouth moments but not rank terribleness Wanyama: 8, great at breaking up play, didn't pass more than 5 yards, can't shoot but very good at what he does Morgan: 6: Lazy, tempted to give him a 5. Felt like either he didn't want to get injured or wasn't fit. Still almost scored Davis: 5, Energetic but lacking quality , Should have scored JWP: Energetic, decent set piece delivery Tadic: 7, Bright & innovative. Nice set up for goal Pelle: 5, won some headers is about all positive i could say bout him Subs: Long: 3, can't head into an open net. Hmm 12m. Isgrove: 6, energetic, almost got in a couple of times

  5. Looks decent lineup. Would have had cork in there myself but let's see how we get on.

  7. As long as it's not part of any notion of getting rid of cork.

  9. Morgan wants to go but we don't want to sell him. Don't believe we got good money for him either. Top class right back/centre back who likely be england regular. So we'll be playing this ready made England youth international centre back today will we?

  11. Yoshida's better on the ball IMO. Fonte did well last year as he was aware of his limitations. Lovren would try and bring the ball out whereas fonte was safest first.
  12. Still can't forgive the sale of chambers.
  13. Decent defender as is fonte which is the problem. With lovren we had a quality defender to partner a steady one. Really hoping gardos is of that level.
  14. Disappointing news about Gaston's absence. Hoping to see him fulfill potential this season. Not surprised about Boruc really. Forster and Davis is fine by me.
  15. Seeing Chambers playing centre back for arsenal is really galling. Crazy decision to sell. Don't believe conspiracy stuff about clauses as why would club hide something that they could excuse them. Just a rank bad decision and a rank poor fee. At least i won some money on the game.
  16. Don't agree with Neville. Don't agree with those who think we'll be in top 10 either though. Hoping all our new signings work out and gel quickly but lot less positive than i was looking at team at start of last season.
  17. That's pretty much the team i would go for too. Love the look of that midfield.
  18. Disagree Spurs approach was a right pigs ear until manager finally came out and picked one as his number 1.
  19. Never for a minute thought Boruc would sit quietly on the bench. Interesting to see if the club do anything or if they are simply going to tolerate a disruptive influence because it means they have more cover.
  20. Forster, clyne, fonte, yoshida, Bertrand, wanyama, cork, Davis, Ramirez, tadic, pelle
  21. My money is on Mackay, given his mate moody is already there in charge of transfers.
  22. Well he signed on to a set up where others had control of transfer policy not him. If he wanted to grab complete control as some articles suggest then I have no sympathy. If board broke promises that might be a different issue.
  23. My view is fair play to the board for sticking to their guns. It's a dangerous but ballsy move.
  24. Wow, didn't see pulis leaving. Guess he wanted to take apart structure they had established to give himself more control and they baulked at it. Hopefully that puts to bed any notion of cork leaving for there.
  25. If i remember correctly didn't Redknapp give it to that awful player that was Tommy Hajto.
