Saints 4-1 Carlisle - 2010 JPT Champions - Reaction
crouchi replied to Block 5's topic in Golden Posts
Now I know how easy the trip is, I'm looking forward to the next one. Thanks for all the advice about parking and taking the tube in. Seemed so much more effort the last time I went. Stadium's not as impressive as Cardiff, no wow factor just big. Let's just hope for a good performance v brighton cos it will be a tough game. -
Did anyone have a successful postal application for Wembley?

Booked my Leeds ticket last week but it didn't arrive until Wednesday 10th posted 9th, so I guess they are struggling with the workload. When my mate put in his written app at the ticket office, they checked it as lots of applications were causing queries and were incorrectly completed -
The team still needs time to grow properly, just because he's spent money to get better players doesn't mean we produce a sustainable challenge. We need to be ready to drive through a whole season with a few minor blips. We aren't there yet, but nor are Leeds who look like they will fail again. It's a tough league. Claridge's comments just hedge his bets (perhaps he should do this more often) - 'AP was successful here and there, but failed other places' - not quite so much insight as he has over players in the lower leagues.

Good first half, some weak shooting from Lallana, Barnard desperately needs a goal. In the end undone by pace and inability to control the game in midfield. When we go to the next level, we'll want more control in the centre
-
We've all got scores to settle with vicious posts once we find out who they are!
-
Disappointing, mainly because we had the chances to go 2-0 but we never got the cushion
-
Words of wisdom!? mispronounced statements of the obvious, he's a freak, but it does make up for the totally rubbish commentary
-
Good luck, kicked off the season well but we have brought in players with more experience
-
Funny that the two of them are never in a position where they get a good view of the game, probably accounts for them not being able to tell us which end the ball is at, who's got the ball etc. I hope Solent don't pay them too much for all the unintended comedy.

He's a decent footballer in comparison with Antonio and others. The more he plays the better he'll get and we need his type of player in the squad i.e. young with potential. Like others have said, there are several players that need replacing before you worry too much about Lloyd.
-
James makes most of the plays and is going to be in the team for a long time to come. On the other hand, Bart was unnerved by the Trotman-Perry combination in front of him and Kelvin's return can't be far off.
-
Dave Bassett - he's an embarrassment, hopefully never to be re-visited upon us
-
Hard games coming up. It will be very tough to keep out of the relegation zone, let alone move up the table. Walsall is a must win. HaHa!
-
He's miles better than Antonio who doesn't have some of the basic skills. We should be getting him on the ball where he cazn exchange passes with our other quality players - Lallana and Connolly, not just sticking him out wide in the limited kind of role that suits Antonio more, who whilst being exciting and entertaining is a one trick pony
-
Papa is a much more skilful player than Antono, and when we need to hold the ball and build is far more suited to the job. I'm surprised he didn't start on Sunday and hope to see him back in a 4-5-1 next Saturday
-
Is the pitch OK after all the rain?
-
Good strong performance against a poor Charlton
-
He'll play OK in this team just like Kelvin does, because he's got 2 decent centre halves in front of him
-
Steve Foster won every ball in the box and they never looked like losing
-
Thanks - great match and best quality pictures I've had - what language was the broadcast in, as once I got it I didn't dare put it into English?
-
I assume MK Dons won the toss on Saturday as we kicked off, so they chose to kick to the Northam in the 2nd half
-
Lloyd looks to be improving and adding something to the team. These are the sort of players we need to keep hold of rather than letting them drift away to CCC clubs.
-
It was a one-sided second half - must have been lots of us that felt it might stay at 0-1 before we made the changes, but then we a stepped up a class and showed a spoiling side how to finish

It's Strachan according to Radio 5
