Promising signs but again shows why we shouldn’t be so precious over players we had here last season leaving. No one is indispensable or even has a divine right to be a PL player, IMO.

May I ask why people are upset about Sulemana going? For me, he’s among the players we wasted a colossal amount of cash on last season. The game against Liverpool was as dead rubber as they come, I’m sorry to say. Alcaraz and Lavia were the only good signings last season and would expect both to go before the window ends.

To be honest, I don’t care who we lose in this transfer window. We need a total refresh both on the pitch and in mindset. You’ve just got to trust the process.

I know it’s early days, I know it’s only a friendly, and I don’t know anything about Goztepe, but I think we look better than we did last season. There’s a zip about our play I’ve not seen for a while.
