  1. Still don't think we are safe and can't understand the dismissive tone that gets used on posters who state that fact. We have been wobbly for a couple of games now... and the big issue is that we can't score. Swansea, West Brom, Tottenham. We have created loads of chances in all these games and no goals. Lambert is getting deeper and deeper and becoming less and less effective! Concerned, but we should beat Sunderland or stoke, or both. Therefore we will be okay. I feel one more point is needed to survive, and even then it will be very close, maybe goal difference. (how many of you would substantially bet against wigan?) That all aside, we were very unlcuky today, streamed it with a tottenham fan and he thought we should have won, certainly deserved a draw. Special mention to Gully, he had a good solid game, broke up the play well, drove forward, looked committed and made some beautiful passes. Shame he got injured because I would liked to have seen more of him over the next few games if he is going to play like that under Poch, may be worth keeping! Cork also solid, didn't really do anything wrong whilst also not being very flash as usual. Shaw looked repeatedly out of his depth today, but he will learn from all of it, lennon was non existent, but walker caused him all kinds of trouble. Clyne was our other good player. He is turning into a proper class full back, looking forward to next season with him getting better and better. Look at it this way guys, we are almost safe with 2 games to go, that is a luxury for any newly promoted side to aim for preseason, and certainly a luxury for saints in the premier league in general.... it also keeps it interesting for us all, and means that the last game of the season will be a proper celebration.
  2. We've had loads of youth players in saints team and the national league are still ****. Makes f'all difference who we produce, whilst they play in red and white stripes you can count their England caps on two hands at best. And frankly, I would take NC as manager over anyone else. We have all seen what fan ownership looks like...aka pompey ^_- They all had dirt cheap quality stadiums build because they were subsidised for the world cup (and I doubt that was won legally) The only thing I would take from german football is us having a 60k stadium with the premier leagues tv money discounting the seat price and travel to and from the ground paid for by the club... or at least discounted. I cound't give a rats arse about safe standing, if people want it then that is their look out, it will never happen in england because of the 96 and frankly my old man is getting on and he can't stand for a full match then walk to and from the ground. Personally, I think we are one of the best run clubs in the country, maybe the world right now. In NC we trust, looking forward to stadium announcement when we stay up, with lampard as an added sweetner.
  3. In response to the melodramatic and ever so slightly emo teenage angst-esq thread title..... I believe he is Alpine..... To PSG.
  4. Done Kid, enjoy university. Make the club reduce the prices and you will be a hero amongst saints fans for evermore!
  5. I want to see your maths to back that up. You can't go making mathematical statements with no supporting calculations... especially on here!
  6. Or..... Contracts allow the club to dictate the fee. That is all a contract is nobchops. It'S NC saying "he is our player, pay me what I want or jog on" Now can all the bed wetters get a grip. Can't take a summer of this ****e when the season hasn't even finished.
  7. You, and others like you are being pathetic? Did you grow up afraid to dream or something? What the hell is wrong with us aspiring to this? We have the best chairman in the league, have outplayed almost everyone since Poch has come in, and have a talented young squad that will get better... champions league is pushing the boat we all admit, as is europe.... but if a club like us can't go for it then who the hell should do? You forget teams like Ipswich and Newcastle who did it within one season of promotion. Swansea have done it via another route also. Stop being so negative ffs.
  8. It was rumoured to be Swansea last week, once they were told that European monies didn't count ^_- funny that isnt it.
  9. Have you been living under a rock. FFP in this guise is a disaster... We know, the Swiss banker who worked for a family who didn't believe in debt knows it, and most fans know it. Just last week OUR financial advisor called a meeting between the clubs who are against it to try and put a stop to it. It will be the end of Competitive British football. Old Firm here we come.
  10. Hmm, dissapointed we didn't put out a stronger team given the importance of this match. Would like to have seen puncheon, ward prowse and forren/fonte involved.
  11. Also I think there must be a MIC in the ball!!!
  12. Anyone got the line up. did't realise it was a 7pm start. Decent stream and look like they are doing all right. Bit daunted perhaps. Keep giving the ball away. Also Sinclair was just through on goal. Miss-controlled the ball, then gave up putting his head in his hands. If he had chased it he would more than likely have got somewhere. Not good enough!
  13. I think we should all just acknowledge that the original poster is from here.... and salute the man for an epic trolling job well done... He has successfully stirred up a hornets nest in textbook manner! Skillfully done I must say. On a side note. West ham are a joke of a football club, there forum fans are so deluded its unreal. Although tbf, I know a lot of west ham fans who steer clear of KUMB as a matter of course because everyone on their is a ****** apparently.
  14. Have they gone pop yet? Can't be much longer left and it has to be more interesting than reading through Barry Sanchez's tripe on the "Breaking the top 7" thread
  15. To show.... or tell.... Or should we say "insert a horses head into their bed"?? I don't think the mans metal needs testing after Adkins either
  16. I really hope we will have a net spend greater than Arsenal.... if not.... i would suggest we are championship. Their net spend since 08/09 is something like minus £20million. And frankly, they waste their money. £15m on oxlade, when I would rather have puncheon, lallana or Rodriquez and the change. He has done nothing their. To shoot another whole in your argument.... Everton do not spend money..not in the grand scheme of things. Liverpool.... they can keep their Downings,Carrolls et al. ROFL, and city, 1 biullion to win a title and an fa cup... I like your definition of spending money = success.. FAIL.
  17. The thing is... SOME people have all the benefits that someone in a poorer country doesn't have.... yet they take their education for granted, take the state for granted, drop out of school, go unemployed, smoke, drink, pop out babies they can't afford because they find other inbreds to "naughty cuddle" with... and the rest of us pay for their designer sports gear and satellite tv. Now, personally. The ones that are quite happy to live like this (not the countless thousands who want but can not get a job*) I would drop kick them out of the country, instead of giving aid money, why don't we make them our aid donation... they can go and do x months service abroad, constituting our aid budget, which we can better spend elsewhere. It might actually teach them what they have got as well, plus showing them what a difference they can make in life.. if after that they still fail... then make them work as toilet cleaners etc part time until they get a job they want....
  18. Bearing in mind that Nigel beat Reading 3-1, away from home, I am expecting at least 5-1 from poch as they are on worse form and we are on fire... anything else and NC made a cock up.....
  19. So we all know that the royals fans are actually arsenal/chelsea fans in disguise. Now we all know that if Adkins goes there, reading will pick up a few Saints fans "with and interest in their club" So, does that make us as big as Arsenal and Chelsea??
  20. Thats just because swansea don't like us as we are a direct rival to their "most attractive team" in the premier Reckon we will surpass them next season for sure.
  21. I'd be interested in playing if I'm in Southampton that weekend. Play either wing or somewhere else attacking So we have to be fit for this? Play 5 aside weekly at flemming park, but there is a big difference between a small indoor run around with some office blokes and a massive 11 aside pitch
  22. If u are on the train.... With kids... Leave early... Also... One erection? Really... That needs to be addressed. They may be girls but they can still develop taste and a respect for talent! Their future cultural well being rests in your hands!
  23. He also needs to get some good boots... Slips over like hes running on ice ffs
  24. Carrol, ba and van persi in 5seconds... But fir his first prem season he has been good and is a solid fullback. Sound potential. Lets not embarras ourselves with signing of the season talk just yet. Michu has scored a fair few for less than 2million
