  1. Vestergaard not pushing for a move https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/jannik-vestergaard-opens-up-southampton-21233043
  2. Apparently, it's now an advantage to them to be crap, because they're not special anymore, no other teams will be upping their games just because it's Pompey, allowing them to sneak in under the radar and get promoted anyway, or some such utter rubbish. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/portsmouth-can-hopefully-fly-under-the-promotion-radar-now-that-not-many-people-probably-fancy-us-1-9191279

  4. He ran more than anyone else in the PL apart from Kante, last time out. The bloke has a right to be knackered, hope he doesn't break down.
  5. Championship clubs in for Sims, allegedly https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-sheff-wednesday-huddersfield-battle-to-sign-forward-southampton-may-let-go/
  6. Massive money-spinner game coming up for Pompey that's sure to generate billions for the local economy https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/how-much-portsmouth-will-take-their-fa-cup-earnings-to-if-they-defeat-fleetwood-1-9189182
  7. Vestergaard to Werder Bremen is off, allegedly https://readsouthampton.com/2019/12/30/vestergaard-talks-over-move-to-werder-bremen-break-down/
  8. Palace have a number of first teamers with knocks, they're there for the taking.
  9. Best performance this season and only our second clean sheet in the league. The whole team put a good shift in, but Redmond and Armstrong stood out for me.
  10. Gallagher has been in and out of the Blackburn side and has managed three goals and one assist. Blackburn drew 0-0 with bottom of the table Wigan last night, and their top scorer, Bradley Dack, was stretchered off, so Gallagher may get more game time in the coming weeks.
  11. I'm watching Everton v Arsenal and it's about the worst game I've ever seen at this level. Perhaps we won't get relegated after all.
  12. Mane and VvD number 2 and 3. Indeed, hardly surprising that our current crop aren't quite reaching the same heights.
  13. One of the most charitable clubs in the country, apparently. https://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/news/2019/december/pompey-are-one-of-the-most-charitable-clubs-in-the-country/ Such short memories...
  14. I think we'd want a fee for him now.

  16. Any club who appoints Duncan Disorderly, even only as an interim manager, deserves what it gets.
  17. When he went one on one a couple of times yesterday, you could really see how ridiculously quick he still is. Won his fair share of headers, provided a good outlet ball and held the play up, hassled and harried like a dervish. Not fair to drop him after that IMHO.
  18. I thought Cedric was poor all game. Agree about the pressing, and I thought Bertie put in a good shift. Ings a class apart.
  19. Stephens is 25, older than Van Dijck was when he joined us. His age has nothing to do with it, he's just not very good.
  20. Good win for your lot there Mack, just the sort of game 30,000 fans would happily pay to watch.
