What a totally incorruptible straight-as-a-die Frenchman

Targett's stats for last season are better than Bertrand's, both offensively and defensively. Given the number of minutes he's been on the pitch, he's actually a bit of an assist king - there's a reason other clubs are being linked to him. Also, Bertrands getting on a bit, and I wouldn't be too concerned if we moved him on.

Staying in the Premier League continuously for as long we have is a considerable achievement, only Everton and the top six's current spell in the Premier League is longer than ours.

There's a slight problem with that plan

We're clearly buying potential, I'm not sure how much we'll see of him initially

Obligatory YouTube video. If we are signing him, I guess this means its curtains for Sims.

We were linked in the last transfer window as well, since when he has signed a new contract.

Playoff heartache for Derby, such a shame

What do you mean, if they beat Charlton? They're nailed on to win, the bookies won't even offer me odds on Pompey losing.

They're both pretty meh - we used to have brilliant keepers when I was growing up Shilton, Tim Flowers and the Flying Finn, it's been 20 odd years now since we've had a decent one.

The reason that Hoedt and Carrillo are out on loan is that we couldn't sell them. If we could sell them for 10m quid, we would have done so. I doubt their performances whilst out on loan have made potential suitors more keen, though Carrilo has been linked with Panathaniakos, (not a team who have 10 million quid lying around, or indeed one that could afford his current wages). If we can get them loaned out again and don't have to contribute to their wages we'll have pulled off a blinder.

You have massively overestimated the value of almost all of those players, IMHO.

Could we... could we really? What makes you think that?

Hadn't Pelle only had one decent season when we bought him in his late 20s?

They've spent little, and their budget for next season will be the same as it was last season. It'll be another summer of free transfers and small fees for them, with what little talent they have moving on. https://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/football/portsmouth-fc/kenny-jackett-admits-no-playing-budget-boost-for-portsmouth-s-next-promotion-mission-1-8935819
