And second best goals against
-
A lot of people on this board perhaps would?
-
I could see us go for Sebastian Coates, young player that don´t get his opportunities at Liverpool. Dont think they want to sell but perhaps the player wants to leave and now with Gaston at us.....perhaps... Or maybe a 6 month loan for him... Pennant and others in that age range I cant see us go for unless they are CB or GK. Young player that fits the profile is Martin Olsson, Ince or Phillips.

Well, is it cheat to go down when they´re climbing all over you? A less strong player gets those freekicks cause he cant stand up, is that fair to the stronger one? Unfortunately referees seems to never understand players strength and therefore dont make the fair decisions....
-
Is Rickie too strong for his own good and is that why defenders are allowed to climb on his back without him getting any freekicks? Compare with, for example, Andy Carroll and Jason Roberts that is in the same weightclass. They get a lot of easy freekicks that Rickie almost never gets. Should he be more cynical and go down to his knees like Carroll or shout and wave his arms like Roberts when they´re climbing all over him?

I said it last year when we played Brighton away and they were talking about being champions that they can have it, they were about 15 points behind us and we were on top of the table. We both got promoted, then we did/are doing it much much better. If Reading don´t get relegated this season I will stop watching football.....(sccchhhhh)

The last thing he says in the interview, can´t believe the reporter didn´t asked more about that. "Hopefully we´ll get a referee decision going our way for a change". Now THAT`s interesting to me at least, I wanna know more about what decisions he´s thinking about...
-
well, that´s not flattering for him

Switch Ramirez for Michu......not a chance, thank you very much.

Years ago it was only yellow when you deliberately stoped the ball with your hands on your own goall line and they changed that so you dont gain a big advantage of taking it with your hand there and only get yellow and a penalty kick with the chance of that being saved. As Suarez did in the world cup and even though he got the red they won because of it. So you could argue that they got the big advantage there anyway but you cant make a harder ounishment than the red and a penalty for that.....

Would like to see a replay with the offside line marked, I thought it looked a bit suspicious on their goal...
-
Well, I think the setup for that freekick is that Fonte shall play the ball parallell to other player coming but yesterday realized that he had an open space to try the shot. We had one similar freekick in an earlier game (Fulham i think) when he played the ball looking for a teammate in front of goal.

"I must admit I'd have to look at it again on whether it's a free-kick," said Hughton. "I thought they got quite a few free-kicks, certainly earlier in the game." Chris Hughton, Norwich Manager, says that today (or perhaps after the game) about the free-kick that lead to our first goal. Correct me if I´m wrong, but wasn´t that our FIRST freekick of the game and in the 32nd minute....??!!

´Arry doing his magic switching GK... Well judging by tonight, it is frekkin impossible that we are worse than these 4 teams and if that day comes that we are, we truely dont deserve to stay up.... Put your kids in front of these games if you have trouble getting them to fall asleep....

Gaston in every aspect! But why not both
-
Morale...has Gastons pay package had an affect?
Olallana replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I think we can close this thread now. If you look at Gastons reactions when we score, when teammates miss chances it is genuin teamspirit reactions. I specially loved his cheers on the bench against QPR when we scored the third. He looks a really genuin bloke. Very unlike many other southamerican players in my opinion..... -
I believe it´s hard to fault the linesman too hard for raising his flag on that one. Close yes, probably onside but I think that if we had the same rules as for example NFL the ruling would have stand cause you dont have clear proof that he is onside. On the other hand, I think many referees and linesman are cowards and will rather raise the flag than not when they aren´t 100% sure.

When we win against QPR and today Newcastle some people always come with excuses that those teams were crap or out of form, they had a lot of injuries etc etc. Why is that? That is the nature of playing in a league. You cant always meet teams at their best, it´s impossible. And on a day when we play against Newcastle, we can only win against Newcastle. We can´t win against Tottenham, Everton or some other "better" team. We could say the same that we have only had 3 games (with 2 wins and 1 draw) with both Cork and Ramirez fit but that is why you have a squad. And playing in a league is about having a good enough squad to collect your points. Be happy about the wins, dont use excuses either you win or lose, certainly Nigel Adkins never do even if people here talks a lot about "now there is no excuses for Adkins". over and out!!

Sign him up for another 2-3 yrs pleeeease!!

That save from the header by Gazzanigga were world class. I must admit after sayong that I would prefer Boruc that he is starting to earn his place now. Decision makings are getting better and better and he was really secure in his handling today despite the rain. (Yeah he had one in the first half but I think Sjaw put him in a difficult spot there) Team is geling for every week, good stuff!

He didn´t put a foot wrong saturday!

Now THAT´S a funny thread!!
