Russell Brand rages at Rupert Murdoch and The Sun

And it's baser side is what caused the worldwide financial meltdown. If people are motivated solely by acquisition of wealth and materiel they risk losing their humanity. By all means reward innovation and creativity, but why should somebody be paid huge amounts of money for gambling with other people's livelihoods ? -

I replied, tongue in cheek, with a 'definition' - something you claimed was lacking. However, for what it's worth, here's my definition of 'capitalism' - the creed of avarice and "I'm alright Jack". -

Doesn't that depend on the level of right-wing defection to UKIP ? -

Cameron is also almost certainly as 'Scottish' as Blair, as his father's family are from Aberdeenshire. -

There is nothing preventing Tories getting elected in Scotland - other than the Tory policies. They still have 1. Also, Bliar's first 2 Governments had a majority in England, ( overall majorities of 179 and 167 ). -

Whilst I agree with the gist of this, for balance I would add that there are also areas of England that would never elect a Tory. -
How could some of them think so badly of TCWTB ?

"The 56-year-old leaves Ashton Gate with City currently 22nd in League One after just two wins in 18 matches." Seems an ideal candidate.

Was in Finland a few years ago - minus 20 outside in the daytime, but +24 in the climate controlled shops. How quickly my attire changed from snug to sauna as I went through the doors. -

Scotland, as an independent country, would have it's own territorial waters, defined in international law. As such, most of the oil and gas fields are likely to become Scottish. There is an argument about the investment that has been made so far in the industry on behalf of the UK as a whole, and therefore whether a degree of compensation should be paid to the Treasury in the event of 'ownership' being transferred. -

I am fairly certain that sexually explicit images of somebody under 18 are illegal in the UK unless taken, and kept, in the context of an established relationship. From the CPS : "The fact that the subject of the indecent photograph(s) is aged 16 or 17 has no impact on sentencing starting points where the activity depicted is at level 5." -

What happens if....... The Scots vote 'YES' and Salmond starts building his empire based on his promise of unbridled wealth, only for the entire thing to be proven a web of deceit and at the next Scottish election Labour get in and come knocking on #10's door for re-unification. -
But you have to consider the capabilities of his readership.

To be able to use the UK Pound, the Scots would have to devolve monetary policy to the Bank of England; in the same way as they would have to concede control to the Central European Bank should they find themselves bound by what is, in fact, an EU rule over new members joining the Euro. Salmond is baiting too many bears on this one - The EU, the UK, and even NATO, which it seems requires it's members to permit nuclear weapons to be located on their soil. -

Some might claim that favouritism by the ref for a 'big team' at home would explain it.
