  1. A question regarding the finale of Homeland : If your car was packed with enough explosive to do that damage, do you think you would notice it was a teensy bit heavier than usual ?
  2. And they were not singing 'Galway Bay' in the video - it was the Mickey Mouse theme. Edit : since when did SWF start using skimwords ?
  3. He tried to kick it away in frustration and sliced it, as he said after the game - if he'd tried to to it deliberately he would have missed.
  4. Crap. That is all.
  5. Sorry to disappoint you, but I can't claim the original thought. Fancy trying your peurile sarcasm on Millwall ? http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/47466-More-Wet-Sham-Jokes http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=66180
  6. Daily Fail have us linked with Paul Robinson. ( Mind you they also link him to Wet Sham, Fulham, and the baggies )
  7. Not sure if it's been posted but apparently Paul Robinson is expected to be leaving Blackburn - and as usual Saints are linked.
  8. Various YouTube postings from : "We Wish You A Metal Xmas And A Headbanging New Year" eg:
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20795217 "UK retail sales failed to grow in November, adding to fears that consumers are reining in spending ahead of Christmas. Sales volumes were flat in November compared with October, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said. They had been expected to bounce back after October's shock 0.8% fall." Q) what would be the impact on the UK if the US economy falls off it's 'cliff' ?
  10. Ineptocracy (n) - syn Local Councillors.

It's a bit rich when politicians complain about somebody else lying. Mitchell admits swearing at the Police, which for you or I would probably be an arrestable offence, so the original point at issue remains valid. I wonder if the officer who sent the text did his probation in South Yorkshire.
  13. "Fairy Tale of New York" by the Pogues and Kirsty McColl, or "I Believe in Father Christmas" by Greg Lake
  14. Dorsal, pectoral, or tail ?

    Moon landings

One of the junior techies here was out on the office pub crawl on Friday and used the chat up line "So do you believe the moon landings really happened ?". He had a long conversation with the girl, who subscribed to the 'faked' line of argument, but when he asked for her number she said she already had a boyfriend
  16. It's not at all bad considering they developed it in situ. The East stand is a bit strange from the outside as it backs up onto the terraced house. ( And unlike my current location, Bloomfield Road, they do actually have 4 proper stands ).

    Masterchef

Posted after the result ! As for Heston - XMAS menu at the Fat Duck is £300 excluding drinks and service charge
  18. I think the season ends at the final whistle of the last match played, therefore after the last playoff final. It can be found in the FL rules.

    Moon landings

Did anybody see that other space documentary the other week ? I think it was called Capricorn One.
  20. 1) They have to back to court in Feb for permission to extend the administration, as it cannot run beyond 12 months from the original date ( Feb 2012 ) without court approval 2) If they do survive to the end of this season then get sold in the summer, they will start the next season on -10.
  21. The Red Army choir singing Korobeiniki - the Russian folk song used as the TETRIS theme.
  22. http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/04a84352-41fc-11e2-bb3a-00144feabdc0.html#axzz2EpcRSmpC "Vince Cable, business secretary, has admitted there is “clearly a risk” of the UK entering a triple-dip recession and facing a Japanese-style lost decade of stagnant economic growth" "Mr Cable confirmed there would be a “long hard slog” for several years and that even a return to growth would not provide the hoped-for feelgood factor among the electorate. “Interest rates will go back to normal and that will affect a lot of people whose mortgages are hanging by a thread at the moment,” he said. “Even the recovery is going to be very painful.”" "The business secretary criticised Mr Osborne’s delivery of measures to cut welfare, accusing the chancellor of “demonising” the jobless. “Most people are out of work through no fault of their own,” he said. “The worst thing you can do is insult them.”" Back to you Trousers
  23. The Government says that by specifically excluding the church from this legislation, this scenario cannot happen. Presumably as the Church has no option of 'in' or 'out' it cannot discriminate. ( Then again - politician's promises....).
  24. The Government Minister responsible for this bill was on R4 news this evening and said that although what is being proposed is a 'marriage', there will be no definition or acceptance of 'consumation' or 'adultery' in relation to this legislation. It strikes me that this has not really been thought through; there are far too many caveats and special exemptions in this dog's breakfast of an idea. Should just stick with Civil Partnerships.
