  1. Quite enjoyed the give and take from both sets of fans today. Good humour but a bit of bite as well. Sadly there were a couple of drones behind me who would not shut up about City's foreign players. When Jovetic scored it was 'OH IS HE FROM MANCHESTER THEN? YOU'VE ONLY GOT ONE ENGLISH PLAYER' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Lovely stuff. Would the away fans grant cover it or has the club dug into its own pocket? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Things just didn't go our way today, but I'm proud of the first half performance. As good a passing display as I've seen all season. No end product but felt it would have come had City not scored again. I was very impressed by them second half. Demichelis and Kompany were rock solid and their width is remarkable. With Toure and those full backs they can run at you from any point on the pitch, but they knew where our weaknesses were. Today it was down the left as Chambers was lacking cover. Gutted for Jay. Early sounds are that he might miss the World Cup, which would be miserable after the season he's had. Poor lad. Boruc back next week and we march on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Nervous now, but still excited. There's going to be huge pressure from City to get the win, not helpful when we're throwing Gazza in again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Didn't know there was one! Haha. I'll be there
  8. Agreed. Brilliant album from one of the best bands in the country. Saw them live for the first time last week, it was magical.
  9. The same way any reporter knows - sources. Isn't that obvious?
  10. There's some cracking stuff on there. Mogwai is a pleasant surprise but god, Kasabian are appalling. Bands I'm most excited for at the moment: Arcade Fire Pixies Mogwai Sun Ra and his Arkestra Angel Haze I feel a little bit deflated, kind of the same as this time last year but you have to wait until closer to the festival before you realise that the lineup is not even the half of it. And this announcement isn't even an eighth of the lineup!
  11. Certain things have changed but I'm not sure they explain it. The goals we conceded during our big injury patch over Christmas really knocked our confidence defensively. Even now, when most of the players are back, you can tell we don't have quite the same arrogance about our defence. The attackers have just improved massively, particularly Rodriguez. Don't think it's got too much to do with how we play. Playing Cork instead of Wanyama changes the balance a bit too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Ferguson's a bully, but this is all true. I suppose it's just boring when the same team wins all the time.
  13. An awful lot of assumptions in that lot! How much access do the Echo have now that Cortese's gone? I know that he dropped some the restrictions before he left but there won't have been any love lost between them
  14. United did what they had to do to get the result, and Moyes got his tactics spot-on. I'd worry more about how they set out in the Premier League when they play lesser opposition. I'm sure Pochettino would be wise enough to change our approach if we were playing Bayern Munich...but we'd get slaughtered either way.
  15. If we're going to stay all-red I'd quite like that. But it's hardly a compromise between red and stripes, is it?
  16. "We've just got word from Hodgson. Yes, six weeks early. Print the damn stickers."
  17. Good point, hadn't thought of that. Milner (or even Chamberlain?) would be good as they can play wide or deeper in the centre.
  18. Yeah, I reckon so. Sterling and Rodriguez have both been great this season, it depends on what Hodgson wants available on the bench tactics-wise. And whether he'd value Sterling's understanding with Gerrard and Sturridge over Jay's with Lallana/Lambert. How many spaces are there for wide/attacking midfielders? He took five to the Euros (Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Young, Downing, Milner), plus Welbeck as a striker so there might be room for both. At the moment I'd look to take Lallana, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Milner, Sterling and Rodriguez, with Rooney, Sturridge, Welbeck and Lambert as strikers. Where does Barkley fit in? Not easy, this manager lark.
  19. Which category does Ramirez fit into? A bit more money and a better league but definitely a 'potential star' type when we signed him. Personally I don't mind. Obviously Osvaldo was a mistake but he's a pretty unusual type - can't blame it on his price tag or the country he came from. Though Italian players do tend to struggle here... EDIT: Sorry, didn't realise I was posting in the same thread
  20. Cheers Roy!
  21. There's bugger all around the ground but the travel links are pretty good all around town. Not used them to get to or from the Etihad specifically mind. There are official bar areas outside the stadium but obviously it's a plastic cup, £5 pint type effort
  22. Where on earth is Fonte going?
  23. Is that Lucas Piazon, the kid at Chelsea? Heard so much about him being a future star but didn't even get a look in there. It's bizarre how not even foreign youngsters who are imported get games there. Let's sign him.
  24. I don't think he's at that level yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Are you sure? Don't think anyone's arsed how much debt we have, what they care about is our players and whether they'll be getting off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
