Lloris Coleman Lovren Jagielka Baines Schneiderlin Sandro Lallana Eriksen Rodriguez Adebayor Bench: Boruc, Distin, Clyne, Paulinho, Barkley, Mirallas, Lukaku Can't believe I'm the first person to mention Adebayor. Not sure why everyone's choosing Vertonghen as well. He's had a poor season by his standards, and there is an obvious alternative in Jagielka. Shaw only left out because Clyne can cover on both sides.

While others find ways to highlight his failures and ignore his achievements. He was a bit of both.

Davis was part of the Rangers fire sale when they got binned down the leagues, so we got him for well below his value. Henderson was young, English and bought from a Premier League rival. I'd also say he's been better than Davis this season and will only improve.

Luke Shaw is the best left-back in the world

I've certainly been impressed with Ward this season. More so than either of Walker or Johnson, but they have international experience. -
Overspend is different from an increase. An increase can be planned. They're not using the word so they can go 'ner-ner, look how wasteful the old guy was!'
-
God, they're going to be desperate for a win. If we concede it'll take stronger resolve than we've shown all season to deal with it and come out something.

I hope we'll find out eventually. One of many conflicting theories was that Liebherr approached him in an attempt to spread some his responsibilities and he walked as a result. If that's what happened you could argue it was both.

You couldn't ignore 20 league goals, and you really couldn't ignore them if two of his attacking partners were already in the squad. He'd do incredibly well to reach it with six games to go though.

To be clear I mean the fans. They've been screaming for Welbeck at the games and friends of mine who support them all agree he should have dropped Van Persie and brought Welbeck in long before he got injured.

Has Cork ever played there in the Premier League? He's not an attacking player at all.

Pochettino likens Lallana to Iniesta, Xavi or Fabregas

There's no reason to change your mind...but it's what football fans do. If these financial results had been released last Monday instead of this, for example the response would have been very different. It was doom and gloom after Spurs, sunshine out of arses now besides the usual trolls. -
They'd burn Moyes at the stake if he sold Welbeck. United need more young players, not fewer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If we find someone who can do his job *and* adds something more going forward, then yes. But we can't replace him with another creative attacker. Davis is like passing lubricant. Always available and always playing at the right tempo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Funny how nobody was saying he'd fit in at Real Madrid after the Spurs defeat...or at any other point. He had a great game on Saturday but he didn't suddenly become a better player. The media praise just moved up a gear. He's absolutely fantastic and has the potential to reach the very top but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Osvaldo and Ramirez have to go down as disappointments. Expected Hooiveld to improve as well There's no question that Lallana is player of the season. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We bought players, not yachts. Two of this year's title contenders are vanity projects. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's not like the Barca team are the only ones who are the products of good coaching. The same applies to Lallana, but he's just not on that level. What's exciting is that the next raft of academy players are coming up in exactly that way, playing together in the same system since childhood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Interesting stuff. Don't fully understand the ins and outs of it but I certainly won't rely on you lot to interpret. Most important thing is that we won't have to sell any players for financial reasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It will be interesting to see how the makeup of their squad changes in the summer. They've got an adaptable squad and a very smart manager but they're going to have to spend very wisely. Keeping Lukaku and/or Barry will help big time. I don't think Martinez's early success tells us anything about Moyes, just that Martinez is very good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Was anybody injured in the last squad? Walcott, Carroll? Our players have all been there consistently since their first call-ups. Walcott's out of the World Cup and Carroll had to start scoring two games ago to be in with a shout. The England coaches take our players very, very seriously now. Hodgson will be looking for reasons to take Rodriguez and Shaw. Lallana and Lambert are already there.

Erm, not sure about that one. The passing and awareness in that Barcelona team is almost incomprehensible. Lallana's about as good with his feet as anyone in this league though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Can't wait to go back to the Etihad. One of the best games of my life up there last season. Confident we can give them a real game again. Expecting some lovely football from both sides, and I think we'll do well on the ball. We'll start strongly as always but in some ways I hope we don't score early on. City are the best in the league for getting their arses in gear from behind and we're the worst for giving up leads. Keep the ball, stay mentally strong and exploit space quickly and we might get something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What about Joe Hart?? Appalling record Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It depends where we finish this season. Get into the Europa League and it'll take a lot more than that to cope with the extra fixtures and push up the table. If we finish 8th, everyone important stays and we get a couple of good players in then we should be aiming for top 6 for sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
