  1. Doesn't tally with the message from the club that Koeman had agreed a transfer strategy and five year plan before jumping ship.
  2. Practically all of them. The only one who I think might regret their decision is Chambers - Shaw will regret injuries and Schneiderlin will regret playing under Van Gaal.

There's a case to be made for keeping a strong bench, with Vardy on it. Jamie Carragher wrote about it today and I think I agree. Only problem with keeping Vardy off is it probably means starting Sterling again, which really shouldn't happen. We miss Welbeck. These are such myths. He's picked a young, bold squad. Besides Drinkwater for Wilshere, who do you think he should have picked? Also worth noting he's leaving most of his Liverpool players on the bench.
  4. It's quite incredible that we can turn our noses up at a title winning coach who has managed Real Madrid!
  5. It's been an absolute pleasure to watch him over the last three years, especially when he was with Schneiderlin. Sad to see that midfield go.

Rooney's just as good as any of them, and arguably better than some for his longevity.
  7. Are there any news stories linking us to him or is it all bookies odds at the moment?

They're giving everything to get through. That means taking fewer risks against the best team in the group and securing a point which Hungary and Austria might not get.
  9. January could be a pain though - three aways and Leicester at home. Real bummer with those early aways is that City and Leicester have been moved for Europa/CL, which means they'll have a day or two's extra rest on us.
  10. That or he knows far more about it than us!
  11. Whereas Everton's ambition, you could argue, is to put its weight back on.
  12. Only because it's old news.

Good - but what happens to our group if they do get booted out?
  14. It's not though, is it. Good signing if it comes off
  15. The suggestion is that Pelle doesn't want to sign a new deal with us for whatever reason.
  16. I hope you remember singing the exact same chant for our previous two managers!
  17. Wanyama could be the "more dynamic of the two central midfielders"?
  18. Most transfer activity will be put on hold by international football anyway. I'm sure we'll have a manager before long, and almost certainly by the end of the Euros, so I wouldn't worry about it. The only problem is if, having felt they'd secured Koeman, Saints went and sold him and his plans to other players and now have to backpedal.
  19. Thanks for two incredible seasons, and sorry you set a rod for your own back by telling us you'd stay.
  20. Do you serve mayo with your chips?
  21. I hope you're not serious
  22. I'm not sure any of our players are as wedded to Koeman as some were to Pochettino.
  23. Players' impressions only matter from day one of training. Few if any of our team would have even heard of Pochettino when he arrived (and many were concerned when Adkins was sacked) but he won them over immediately. It's potential players which matter. Koeman's appointment made a difference in 2014 and someone like Emery or de Boer would do the same again this time.
  24. Yep - he's got a bit of a point to prove in England although I doubt he'd be able to make it at Saints, unless we managed to finish above Man City. All good coaches have shelf life, though. It's best to catch them during or before their first wind because only the true greats get a second.
