Parking for the football and parking charge notices
Sergei Gotsmanov replied to saintmatt's topic in The Saints
Matt - I had the same. I have been parking there for many years and for the Palace game I got a ticket. I was going to contest mine because it was dark and there was no signage. In fairness I have always thought it was odd that we could park there with no repercussions. Now they have made it a non parking zone that will put pressure on parkling. Where do people think we should park now? -
Yours is the voice I here outside of the forum. It is not just tedious reading people slagging off our players on here it is embarrassing. I just hope the players don't read some of the comments on here, it can hardly foster affection for our club. Mid-table for me please and a good cup run, blending youth with experience and the occasional glamorous foreign signing to generate a bit of excitement. I salute your post.

Don't be so rational!

When he is fit he can eek out goals from nowhere. It is using him so that he has the best chance of staying fit that is the challenge.
-
Excellent news. He will provide more options up front which after watching last night is pretty important!
-
I think he has demonstrated that he is an 8-12 goal striker in the premier league even with his injury record.
-
He is still only 29 and must have at least two seasons in him.

Dodgest penalties awarded to saints?
Sergei Gotsmanov replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Wolves I think -
He cost £4m - everybody knew that he would be injured a lot, that is why West Ham did not sign him. He is a good option to have but not rely on.
-
Austin scores goals in batches and given a good run injury free could go on a run of goals. He is a natural goal scorer who knows how to get in the right place at the right time. Our striking options are fragile and you never know when you might need him. I think he is a player who is good to have about the dressing room. The trouble is on here that people think it is straight forward to find a 10 to 15 a season premier league goalscorer. Sadly it is not. That is why I will miss him and would rather he stayed.

I would love to have Boufal back with a manager who knows how to man manage. He could really entertain us.
-
They did the same at Everton last season if I recall. That nearly relegated us.

I am going to go for Kevin Phillips against Wolves. -

That was a penalty. It is unlikely that he would be experienced enough at 19 to be looking for penalties. -

There must be room on the law-book to punish Vardy retrospectively for that dive. It is the only cure for it. If they can ban Charlie Austin for two games why not Vardy for trying to change the outcome of a game through deceit. -
Why don't you get your fun and amusement at Christmas watching Morecambe and Wise and being nice at Christmas like everyone else.

A lot of people enjoy Owen the Saints Vlog. Particularly people who cannot get to games. Keep it going Owen.

Michael Obafemi - Official: Signs for Swansea
Sergei Gotsmanov replied to SuperSAINT's topic in The Saints
I probably should know but how many goals has he scored for the under 23's? -
Really? Fraser Forster went from England to third choice. Redmond was so deflated that Pep Guardiola felt the need to have a word with him as he left the field. I don't think it reflects well on our club.
-
I just don't like watching good footballers who have demonstrated ability being drained of confidence be negative fans. Fraser Forster is a good example and so too was Nathan Redmond. If they were encouraged and not criticised I think it would be better for the club. It would make us a nicer place.
-
Quite true. He is clearly a good guy and has plenty to offer on the field. The people that slag off our players are the ones that are responsible for a rapid downturn in the atmosphere and spirit of the club when things don't go well.

Romeu is now an improvement on Wanyama
Sergei Gotsmanov replied to Saint Without a Halo's topic in The Saints
Romeu is one of the best players I have seen in a Saints shirt. He is also intelligent and I would imagine a good influence around the camp. Boufal is a fabulously skillful player who needed an arm put around him. I am never quick to criticise managers but Hughes is guilty of bad man management. -
Based on the last year, those taking up this exciting opportunity will have a fifty fifty chance of seeing a home win.
