  1. More than 4000 people have viewed the Sheffield video. Its not my bag but if people enjoy it so what. It takes all sorts.
  2. Good luck to you. I have no issues with it and the stats suggest that people get enjoyment from watching the Vlogs.
  3. Jeff Stelling praised him on Sky at the final whistle
  4. What about Scotland?
  5. Why don't you just ask them round for a drink? Give them a chance.
  6. I just feel sad that he probably never knew how grateful we Southampton supporters really were to him for keeping our club going when we stared oblivion in the face. Thank you Leon.
  7. Absolutely unbelievable that rules have to be changed to accommodate the supporters of a football club who might attack an opposing team's player. I guess that nothing happened to the toothless bloke that hit out at a Sunderland player. If Portsmouth cannot control their supporters then they should have to forfeit the game.
  8. Well said. Some of our fans have the ability to drain confidence from a player. Its not a great look.
  9. Should every club not need to demonstrate some form of viability?
  10. Unfortunately it is the fans that suffer when people go on an ego trip by buying a football club. At the same time though fans demanding signings at any cost is counter productive - investment is the most inappropriate word when used in the context of a football club. Saints are only ever one bad managerial appointment or an injury crisis away from relegation and if the worst happens then we should expect the club to have the financial mechanisms in place to ensure we do not go into financial meltdown. How many of us believe this to be the case with Saints?
  11. I think that it is representative of the shift in power to the top four clubs. Even in the nineties we would turn over the big clubs quite regularly but in the last few years we just get thumped. Even as a season ticket holder I really don't get pumped up for games against the big teams now. I am sure there is a statistic somewhere but I would suspect that back in the day we would beat top four teams two times out of ten, draw two and lose six. Now it is more likely to be one in ten, draw one and lose eight. It should come as no surprise that people don't want to pay £65 for the privilege. Ii would cite the FA Cup trip to Wembley against Chelsea recently when we did not sell out. I went but was pretty subdued about what would once have been my day out of the year.
  12. It used to be part of the match day experience and the one constant in all my years of going to Saints has been people grumbling about the price of a programme. I rarely buy one now and it does not generate the same excitement with my son as it did with me. Where did it go wrong?
  13. Very very sad. He was a part of St Marys.
  14. Totally agree. My son, who would have been ten at the time had his Saints ruck sack searched by stewards as St Mary's a couple of years ago. All I could do was turn to the steward and say 'really' and explain to my son that he had done nothing wrong. Some stewards make a lot more work for themselves by not having the ability to gauge risk levels.
  15. Totally agree. It is toe curling embarrassing hearing people slag him off on here. He seems a good guy, scored more than enough goals to justify his £4m price tag and I wish him well in his future.
  16. Consonant please Carol. Edit: I don't mean that in a nasty way TameSaint I am just not sure how you calculated your sums! I concluded that nothing really had changed from the referendum.
  17. Why? Clearly a nice guy, good to have around the dressing room, has another season in him and can offer something from the bench.
  18. Great guy to be in the squad sadly a victim of the hostile online era.
  19. Really enjoyed reading that thank you.
  20. That is interesting in that I always imagined everybody called it the Great War before the second war. They certainly did here but in the US it must have been different.
  21. Yes I salute them too for all they did for us. I hope I never win an Oscar because I will forget to thank someone!
  22. We would not have won the war without them but Ii am not sure we were trying to 'help' each other out.
  23. We did also have to fight the French in the last war. I would though never discount the bravery of the Poles and the Czechs or indeed the role of the Norwegians but I think you would admit it was less of a game changer than the contribution of the US.
  24. Just pointing out that we were not really getting help from these European nations - just liberating them. For that we needed the help of our friends across the pond.
  25. In fairness the French, the Belgians, the Russians, the Dutch, the Serbians, the Norwegians, the Greeks, the Poles, the Czechs, and the Danes were occupied by the Germans in World War 2.
