  1. Not a problem Noodles the chap who needed a ticket got offered one in the Brighton end. He was semi neutral anyway.
  2. Totally on the money. It infuriates me seeing our players get slated in here. The academy is one reason why we differentiate ourselves from the tedious top six.
  3. If anyone does have a spare Brighton ticket it would be fantastic. Will obviously pay.
  4. A shame but thanks Ottawa
  5. Did somebody say Murray was suspended?
  6. Is that right? Extraordinary. I remember us being completely outplayed and when Cole scored waiting for the onslaught. The first goal I was so stunned by its brilliance into staying seated. Still up there with any Saints game I have ever been to. He always seemed to score good goals against the Geordies and I remember when he retired how good a reception they gave him. Good people, I respected them for that.
  7. I would bring the other players down to his level
  8. I am not sure I would agree with you. You have a settled squad that hopefully will finish in the premier league. Why not tinker with it to make it better than take a punt on getting rid of half the squad. Lets face it we are not alone in paying too much for ordinary players. Better the devil you know.
  9. It is always a gamble to spend more on a few; If Zaha ever got injured then that gamble has not come off. You are also vulnerable to disharmony in the squad. You are better to have a graded system which we appear to have. With regards to younger player potential, you have to trust your back room team. Ultimately it is a numbers game - it only takes one Luke Shaw and the policy has paid for its self five times over. I would suspect Valery will be worth £25m one day and at the moment Prowsey probably already is.
  10. I think there was even a plot to kidnap him and take him to Marwell Zoo. In fairness I heard that the team spirit was fantastic under him
  11. I am not sure it did deliver Dalek. We struggled. His only good signing was Super Ken.
  12. What will an enormous squad re-build in the summer achieve? With the exception of a striker I think continuity is the best plan going forward.
  13. Yup we had a team with Pele, Best and Jesus in it.
  14. I agree. He is clearly exceptional and a good manager might harness is brilliance.
  15. An astute assessment.
  16. Wagon Wheels
  17. He was said to be the best of the Forest academy crop of the day crop. There was Jenas, Prutton and Andy Reid. I watched them play at Fratton Park once for Forest and Reid and Jenas really stood out. Prutton didn't really. I liked his passion though and he did alright for us.
  18. I spotted that. Extraordinary. Wolves getting 11,000, Forest 16,000.
  19. i would argue that big spending rarely yields results on the field.
  20. What I am saying is that it is stating the obvious that our strikers are not delivering, I just wish people would put forward credible solutions. These would be in the context of how much we have to spend, the wages we can offer and how they might fit into the dressing room. I personally agree that Che Adams would be a good call but it would be naive to think that we are the only ones that are looking for a silver bullet for our goal scoring shortfalls. That probably pushes the price up to £25-30m and £80K a week. I expect that is still possible but we would likely miss out. You still need back up and either Long or Austin probably fit the bill as second tier strikers.
  21. How much is your budget to rectify the fact that our strikers are average? That is a good starting point when you are assessing your options.
  22. I am the same. He is an entertainer and if handled in the right way could be fantastic for us to watch. My only worry would be whether some of the dressing room had their noses put out by his behaviour.
  23. That is a very bold statement. How much do you think that it would cost to do that? The one player I would argue that you cannot budget for playing regular football is Ings. Long can have a role to play, we looked much better when he was on the field yesterday. As for Austin; he is what he is; reads the game well and you have to look at his goal scoring record - like Ings though you cannot really plan for him to play regularly. Realistically we should be in the market for one striker.
  24. They have sent me a new fine for some reason
  25. I think you need claret to see it.
