He's only played 26 games (and 6 as sub) in the past 4 years. He used to be good, but I'd worry what sort of shape he's in these days.

Quite a few airports have hotels airside nowadays don't they? If I was him I'd check into one of them, at least for a couple of weeks until the journalists get bored. Potentially he could stay in one of them for the rest of his life, like in that Tom Hanks film.
There were supposed to be a couple of tall (though not that tall), buildings going up in London. It was a pet project of Ken Livingstone though, so i'm not sure what will happen now Boris is in charge.

I personally don't see why we would be spending 300k on a player who's not that young but only has a handful of career appearances, when we've currently got Wotton and Euell as backup.
