He's only played 26 games (and 6 as sub) in the past 4 years. He used to be good, but I'd worry what sort of shape he's in these days. Last season Sunderland lost 6, and drew 2 of the 8 games he featured in, including a 7-1 defeat at Everton.

Judging by how empty it was on Saturday, no-one. I was quite surprised, Birmingham ought to be one of the most popular games of the season for the corporate folks. Maybe Lawrie was doing something useful after all...........

I'm sure the airlines will be prepared to fly him anywhere he wants to go, after all he's got lots of money and can afford first class. Quite a few airports have hotels airside nowadays don't they? If I was him I'd check into one of them, at least for a couple of weeks until the journalists get bored. Potentially he could stay in one of them for the rest of his life, like in that Tom Hanks film.
