  1. Well that's definitely true, as those T shirts were sold in the club shop ie after Wilde was already in place. They were nothing to do with the fans, they were official club merchandise. As for the larger point, I don't think the fans had that much influence. I guess the discontent led a couple of people to realise that Lowe could be removed, but at the end of the day it wasn't the fans who bought the shares and voted at the AGM. Well, a few did, but you get my point surely.
  2. Going to London in a few weeks to see the Killers, and as it's my birthday a couple of days beforehand was thinking about going somewhere a bit 'posh' for lunch. It'll be a Monday lunchtime, any suggestions? I read somewhere that Gordon Ramsay at Claridges is much cheaper at lunchtime than in the evening, I assume the same applies elsewhere? Oh, and how soon will I need to reserve?
  3. His wages I expect.
  4. Now that we've got Saga back playing, I'm not sure Lupoli would have been right for us anyway. If we need anything, it's a big lump of a forward, in the Beattie/Howard vein.
  5. Washington is good if you like museums, and of course lots of military stuff around there which you might be interested in. Boston is a really nice city as well. Another option would be hop over to Canada and go to Toronto, which I loved. It's near Niagara Falls as well which is a must-see.
  6. Lots of the big operators, Virgin etc do split centre holidays. Were you thinking of somewhere else in that corner of America, like Boston, Washington, possibly Chicago, or further afield?
  7. You forgot Pericard. Easy mistake to make though.
  8. To be fair, our share price has never followed the FTSE trend. It's a very illiquid share, not much trading, and the majority of the shares are allied to large blocks.
  9. Yeah, because it's not like we've been trying to force him out or anything is it.............
  10. Did Adrian just make a bit of a fool of himself and strop off in a hissy fit?
  11. He's only been here a few weeks hasn't he? We haven't been scoring all season. Interesting though, I thought he used to be a defender.
  12. In which case we only needed to offer him the same amount he was on before. Which as that was an academy contract, can't have been very much at all. If he's on decent money now then Lowe ballsed up big-time, but I really can't see that being the case.
  13. Did anyone else actually hear this on Solent? I'm not going to jump on someone's back based on a 20 word precis of an interview. I'm assuming Crouch said something other than those few words?
  14. Could be that we are just holding out for higher offers than have currently been made. We are in a weak bargaining position, other clubs know this and are probably offering silly little offers for our players. We may find ourselves forced to accept these offers on the last day of the window.
  15. As I understood it, the meeting was during the day, JP quit late afternoon/early evening.
  16. This is quite good: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2009/01/27/revealed-what-actually-goes-on-inside-harry-redknapp-s-head-picture-115875-21075131/
  17. How about: Wilde and Lowe turned down Crouch's plan, but Jan got to hear about it. Realising he didn't have the support of the major shareholder, and bearing in mind the aggro at the last match, JP realises his days are numbered and jumps ship. Lowe decides, as ever, that he knows best and so decides to continue the Dutch experiment by promoting Wotte.
  18. It works in most European countries though, and at far bigger clubs than Saints. I guess it's easier if it's always been that way though.
  19. I'd have thought it was the other way round if anything. Hasn't Wilde got a family trust fund of £100M or so? The Echo revealed it the last time Wilde was supposed to be putting £2M in.
  20. Link doesn't go to anything about Crouch.
  21. What is the point of hospitality then? I thought it was a huge profit-maker? I'd expect them to make something like 60-70% profit on hospitality.
  22. Is Rod Bransgrove friends with Lowe then? Didn't know he went to Saints games.
  23. Also, how come HR is finding it so easy to bypass the rule that you have to spend at least 12 months away from a club before you rejoin? They got away with it with Defoe, and I think people thought 'yeah maybe that's fair enough as it was only a c ock up that stopped it going through on time last January'. But since then they have re-signed Chimbonda, who only left Spurs in the summer. And now they are talking about Keane going back, who again only left last summer. Does Redknapp have a different rulebook to everyone else?

Of course, if they knew who our one home win was against, that would have alerted them to their error........
