  1. Has anyone on this thread suggested that those prices should apply for every game? Edit: Although if they did, you'd get a lot more than 1,500 fans extra at each game.
  2. I was more meaning players who came from there and did pretty much nothing for us. While that was the case for Redknapp, Case was slightly different. To be fair to Potter, he did leave Liverpool and went to Wolves. He hasn't played a single game for them this season.
  3. I was about to comment on the likelihood of this actually happening. If, as appears likely, the Conservatives win the next election, they'll just cancel it anyway. So a lot of fuss about nothing really.
  4. We've had some classics from Liverpool actually: Sammy Lee Mark Walters Barry Venison (obviously not all directly from Liverpool, but I tend to think of all of them as 'Liverpool players')
  5. Presumably Saints will know how much truth there is in that. They'll have the records of how many people bought tickets for both games.
  6. Until I saw his name, I'd completely forgotten about him. Played 11 times for us on loan from Liverpool in 2006. There's a number of players who've been at Saints yet failed to linger in the memory. Wonder who would be the person who's played the most games for us (in recent years), yet still be instantly forgettable.....?
  7. I guess the worry would be that they'd make a statue, and then a week later agree to become Pompey manager. Or get arrested for murder, or get outed by the NOTW as a paedo, something like that. Please note I am not suggesting that MLT would do/is any of these things, but that would be the basic rationale behind waiting until someone dies before putting up a statue/ naming a stand etc.
  8. It's fantastic once you've had everything washed out though.
  9. I look forward to it.
  10. Reducing a few games between now and the end of the season will not cause ST holders to lose out. People who bought on the early bird only pay around £15 per game, it would take an awful lot of cheap games before they suffered.

Really hope we've got a sell on clause.
  12. Yet they are still saying they will wait til next year before doing anything. I was arguing for ages that reduced prices would lead to increased attendances, yet Saints (and some on here) were adamant that this wasn't the case. They obviously weren't paying attention in their Economics classes......
  13. Normally 8 or half 8.
  14. Yeah I've mentioned this before. It would be nice if you got a response when you reported a post, otherwise you've got no way of knowing whether anything was done about it.
  15. He's nothing like any of those other managers you mention.
  16. How often has that happened this season? We've hardly even scored at home, let alone taken the lead.
  17. Maybe it's for when you go to that skiing place out there.
  18. Small point, but Mike Hanc ock is a Liberal, not a Conservative.
  19. You can get the iPhone on PAYG.
  20. The police might.
  21. Shame, I quite liked that place. Used to go in it before matches sometimes. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4045743.Titanic_pub_shuts/
  22. I'd happily not watch it any more. Between Eastenders and The Bill, that's 4 and a half hours of time wasted every week.
  23. See if you can find the programme on Youtube, might be on the Channel 5 website.
  24. Dunno, seems like there are only a few places with the correct ground structure to accommodate it. Those underground lizard things were a bit freaky as well. Not sure I'd want to see one of them out of my plane window.
