It might have been possible if you hadn't mentioned it. You should have just given it a go.

I wouldn't really mind if registered users got more benefits. Only trouble is that it will result in even fewer people renewing next year. The saintsweb might be forced into administration.

Hopefully a bigger turn than this morning, eh.

Why on earth is a trainee signing a contract on the pitch? Not exactly Ronaldinho is it. Chances are he'll fail (not being pessimistic, just looking at the facts), so why build up the expectation levels?

WTF is that Rory? -
Not sure I would agree with Stoneham being better to be honest. It would have been a fair bit smaller (I guess not a problem any more), and also miles from any pubs etc. I prefer my stadiums to be in town.

Yeah, i think it was. Although obviously he'd managed before. There's a chairman (or president or whatever they have) in Spain who has managed two teams which he owned. This was in the Primera Liga as well, not lower league. He had to wear a photographers bib to be able to stand near the pitch, as he wasn't qualified to be a manager.

Anyone going to wave the old dear off this evening? I see she ran aground on her entrance into Southampton this morning: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/7720966.stm

Anyone know much about them? Mine has started playing up (shortly after having a new heat exchanger fitted to the boiler, which may or may not be related). Sometimes I get up in the morning, have a shower (which is a good temperature), then turn it off. Wife gets up a couple of minutes later, turns shower on, but only gets cold water. Other days (like today), hot doesn't come out at all. Boiler is firing up fine. On Sunday I recalibrated the shower (as I thought the water might be coming in hotter due to the heat exchanger), ran it for about half an hour and the temp was fine (38.4 degrees ish). But again it's not working properly. Someone mentioned to me that it might be the cartridge, does this sound likely? Also, if that's what it is, how long should they be expected to last? The shower was fitted almost exactly a year ago. Any ideas people?

Anyway, the proper remembrance day is today.

A boiler service should be about 60-70 quid.

That was an assumption too far, I'm afraid. You've done your divisions the wrong way round.

Signings since the summer - how have they done?

It's recklessly wasteful, in these times of poverty, to have signed so many players who aren't getting near the first team. You could lose half of that lot and not even notice they were gone. -
I guess they just don't think it's worth the effort. They definitely know how many people are actually in the ground, they have to in case there's an emergency.

Think he's got another year. He signed a four year contract.

£5m? I'd take the money and run. It's not even as though he's a player we've developed.

We couldn't bring any of them back now even if we wanted to.

Hockaday is majorly involved already. Who's to say anything would change if he was manager? Some would say he is already running the show.

We've got more than 10,000 season ticket holders.

Just worked out that I've seen 7 games so far this season, 6 in the flesh and 1 on TV. We've got 4 points out of 21 in those games. 1 win, 1 draw and 5 defeats. Really drums home why I'm feeling that I can't be bothered to go any more.

I'm never sure whether to believe those stopping distances. Have they ever been updated/retested? No way does it take 74 yards to stop from 30 mph.
-
The Mirror have beaten them to it. I'm in two minds really. Obviously it was a bloody stupid thing to do, but apparently no-one even noticed at the time. None of the commentators mentioned it, it wasn't discussed at the post match press conference, and the Ipswich message boards didn't even pick up on it. Would it have been better for the family if it had passed without comment, rather than them having newspaper journalists turn up on their doorstep yesterday?

The dad didn't die. I don't think he's in a good way though.

A bloke showing some support for a mate, or a bit of a t wat? Discuss.

Work ethic? Matt just isn't cut out to be a manager, he knows that.
