One important thing to note is that most trackers have a bottom rate that they won't go below. For example, I currently have a rate of 3.28%, but there is a collared basic interest rate of 3.03% minimum. So if the base rate falls another quarter of a percent, it will be passed on to me, but any further falls will not.

I'd say half all those figures and you'd be near the mark.

Surely anyone who receives a remotely acceptable offer will be off? We aren't in a position where we can push for a good selling price. Clubs will make take it or leave it offers, and we'll have to take it. I'd say people have got remarkably high estimations of how much we'd get for some of these players.

The reason people get annoyed with you is that you state things as fact, when they are anything but. That graph, for example, doesn't seem to show the Wii, PS3 and 360 against each other, as you said. It shows each of them against their previous generation. So the Wii is selling more than the Gamecube (no surprise there), the PS3 is selling less than the PS2, and the 360 is about flat with the Xbox. Are those worldwide figures, by the way?

I'd agree that discs are too expensive, but they aren't that much. They are between 15-20 quid. Which, if you are right that they were £25+, shows that prices are coming down.

Briefly, I think the difference is that we sold the land to a property developer, whereas Pompey want to go into property development themselves (or at least in partnership). Plus they've got more land. They aim to build on Fratton Park and also around the new ground. Not that it will ever happen...........

If you can find one in stock anywhere, Argos are flogging off first gen Touches cheap. £148 for the 16 gig, £20 less for 8 gig. Bought one at the weekend. As far as I can tell, there's not enough difference between 1st and 2nd gen to stop this being a bargain. Unfortunately the thread about which apps are good seems to have disappeared. What do people recommend?

Than when? I'd say they are worse than they were at the start of the season. Injuries haven't helped (Lee Holmes has been a big miss), but we were playing better football in the first few games than we have been recently.

He just seems to gamble that throwing another youngster in will pay off. There seems to be no thought over whether he is doing the best thing for the player. Lots of our young players have been badly treated this season. We risk setting their careers back by months or years.
