well he'll have to work hard with the average and low on confidence squad we have!

as an England fan I would like to see a line up that can build some consistency, and more importantly chemistry together rather than merely picking the new flavour of the months. This is a problem we have in the set up, we need to establish a firm back 4 and keeper and let the players build a rapport. Just watch us pick 2 different XIs in both games.

i booked my train tickets to allow time for extra time and penalties if we win within the 90 though, more time at the pub i guess.

The way I see Hughes based on everything I have read is that he is one who has never had an instant impact whereever he has went, but usually after the initial 10 weeks he is someone when he gets his ideas across will give you a decent season- then eventually things turn stale. However longevity for a manager at the same club, those days are gone now, player power is too much now compared to the yesteryears, and as such owners need a constant change of manager to refresh ideas in the dressing room. Hopefully, that is exactly what our players will get under Hughes. I think I read somewhere now that Poch is the 5th or 6th longest serving manager across the football league- and he only joined in summer 2014.

I thought you were supporting another team now Anyways, rather ironically, a lot of Saints snapchats and training videos I’ve seen actually show us shooting a lot/practice our shooting in different scenarios. Mind you, it is Fraser Forster and Stuart Taylor in goal, and our CBs aren’t exactly top draw either :/ Our problem this season was the fear of attacking, kept the ball too much with no real purpose, and eventually lost confidemce in our abilities. Mark can hopefully bring that back, and also put a rocket up a few players arses...

has my backing 100% too. good luck Mark- go get us Premier League football (and Europa League!!!! ) football for next season!
-
prediction again. to be announced tomorrow lunch to ensure maximum coverage as tonight will have chelsea vs barca all over it. OR to be announced tonight at 9 when most people will have their eye on the Chelsea game
-
If we progress, then there will be one semi-final on the Saturday (21 April), and one on the Sunday (22 April). So basically a 50/50 chance at this moment in time.
-
my tickets for this arrived this morning! buzzing for it given the context of it all- first PL game for our new man, but with their off the pitch troubles will be a hostile atmosphere!
-
I am only speculating here, but gonna predict that he is already at Staplewood taking charge of training and doing the usual photoshoots/holding Reed's hand/walking around the training ground etc etc to be announced 12pm I reckon.
-
wouldn't short-term contract suggest that it is exactly an 'interim appointment'?
-
Ancelotti or Van Gaal
-
Basically, we have been left with the three ugly girls at the end of the night, making no attempt to go for the fitter ones early on who have now been taken
-
what do you propose then? Care to say some names that you want? I am presuming that you would prefer a massive roll of the dice and hire some unknown entity with a fancy name in the hope that he is a Pochettino, but also with an equal chance of hiring another Pellegrino? Many, if not nearly all managers will have failures marked against them.
-
adkins left a note in the dressing room. can't remember if it was endorsed by the club and posted on the official site or if it was a player who posted it though!
-
don't think i have ever seen a manager who has been sacked release a statement the following day on the official site of the club.
-
very impressive indeed that we have such a big following for this one. haven't gone to a saints game since wba in the fa cup. and since yesterdays news I am absolutely buzzing now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2016–17_Hull_City_A.F.C._season#Results_summary to those doubting Silva- he joined Hull on the 5th January If you look at all his PL results from that day onwards, he managed 6 WINS in 18 games with what is a weaker squad. Pellegrino has only managed 5 in 30 with a better team than Hull had.
-
lol because he is Welsh and not called Marko Hughziski
-
Having just woke up for work, i can only imagine how happy our international fans would be if they heard such news just after waking up! This sacking has truly galvanised the fan base, never been more agreement.
-
We don’t need stability i’m happy to continuously find successful managers that jump ship as it means we are doing well
-
In a week where we had Stoke at home and Newcastle whilst Palace had United and Chelsea yet we are just a point ahead is so demoralising.
-
will we? I just cannot see us receiving more than £10m back for him- in fact I think he along with us will be playing Championship football.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/aug/15/southampton-jisheng-gao-chinese-owners articles like this only further annoy me. I feel like I need a break from football until Sunday at least
-
I would have bought this rhetoric but we clearly did not mind spending £19m on his mate.
