  1. It is in the Players own interests to find another club if AP has told them they will not feature in his plans. The reason being is if they sit tight and just take the money, there will be loads of players coming onto the market at the end of the season, and thus, they may never find another club when their contracts expire.
  2. I chose the Chapel end at t Mary's because I always sat in the Milton Road end at the Dell and it is easy to park/ get away for my 90 mile return car journey each fortnight. I am not keen to be near the away fans as some of the language is just too ripe for my 2young grandsons who are ST Holders with me. The same could be said of the Northam, so I do not wish to be moved over to there either. I do take the point about the wall of noise and I am probably a Nimby. Leave things as they are, a selfish view perhaps but that is the way it is for me.

Yes, a great team player and glad he has done well.
  4. Do not care if Rickie does not score everygame as his first touch and lay offs for others are a joy to behold.
  5. But Lambert has a much better first touch than Beattie.
  6. Stern was ok did his job for us, nothing less and nothing more. Whilst AP was upset in the way he left us I am sure we can all forget that now. After all we managed to get Rickie Lambert and I know who I would rather have. We can acknowledge Stern but not go overboard.
  7. He has bags of potential and one we need to keep.A spell out on Loan to a league 1 or 2 club would do him the world of good.
  8. Thoroughly enjoyed that and AP's tactics were spot on. An excellent Team display and impressed with Fonte. Antonio was MOM for me but Rickies first touch and knock downs are a joy to watch even when he does not score. Well done Fans for making so much noise and getting behind the team in that empty Stadium.
  9. Just do not believe all your read in the papers.
  10. Welcome aboad Danny Boy. Did not remember your name from the Exeter Game but your defence played well on the day with 10 men. I like the reports about you. You are one for now and building for the future. Good luck.
  11. Surely we would never sign him again.
  12. There is so much debt at poopey now that the borrowing is feeding on itself. Nobody in their right mind will invest in this club now as once a writ is issued, other hitherto unknown creditors will come out of the woodwork. The Directors could be illegally trading knowing that these debts can never be repaid. The fradulent Lawyer who is also involved, could be classed a Shadow Director too if he is pulling the strings now and thus drawn in. I doubt if an administator will be appointed, as there is little to administrate on a net asset basis. I "smell" the club is on the verge of liquidation which means the Secured Creditors, the Fixed Charge Holders, will get first pick, Preferential Creditors will be next (Tax, Vat, Nat Ins Contribs, wages next and then the Debenture Holders next leaving nothing for unsecured creditors, including shareholders I would suggest.
  13. Schneiderlin is a quality player but blows hot and cold during games for me. However he is very young and I believe he will develop into a very good player. Remember Beattie at his age? A different position I know, but look how he improved for us over the years.
  14. This man together, with our owner and CEO has made us really enjoy watching the mighty Saints once more. I never thought that I would say that in the Third Division. Onwards and upwards you Reds.
  15. Well done David-very good gesture.
  16. I expect he is also annoyed that we released him a few years ago. He went to Chelsea on trial and then Swindon I believe, before he disappeared and then resurfaced again at Barnsley.
  17. Pretty impressive message from the chairman. I shall still be praying in Church on Christmas Eve, that Saints win against Exeter.
  18. I must agree completely with that. It is obvious. even in this league, that we lack pace at the back. It will be difficult to attract some of the strikers mentioned on this site, just to sit on the bench. AP has to make his mind up if he feels our youngsters are good enough to fill in. I would think it imperative for Patterson to go out on loan, despite the fact that he does not appear to want to. That will at least confirm the position one way or another. Failing that, Papa could move into the middle more and we look to another pacey winger. The Antonio debate then begins again!
  19. I did not think I would enjoy third division football and almost did not renew my St until the new regime came in. I now come awy from the games with a warm feeling and enjoy weekends and Mondays much more. If we can eventually move back into the Premiership by winning most games under AP, that will be great for me.
  20. A good read and a good article by AP. Agree he always talks so much sense. Interesting to note too, that Bartman is the only survivor from the team the last time we played them nearly 3 years ago. Guthrie and Belmadi were in the team then.
  21. We were so loud and sang our hearts out in the Chapel today. The new spion kop, as the players responded to that with goals after a quiet ist half at the Notham end.
  22. Today's DT claims that they have parted Company with their Bankers, Barclays. I expect Barclays have told them to find alternative bankers, but who would take them on? Seems only a question of time to me before Cork Gully are knocking on the door.
  23. Ther is also another ginger Rooney who was on loan to Yeovil a few seasons ago and played striker for Republic of Ireland under 21 last season. This cannot be the same one, can it?
  24. With our back 4 generally lacking pace, a fast younger right back seems to be essential in the January transfer window now. Sadly, I think Murts will be plagued by injuries in his twilight years, just as Marion and Michael Svennsson were.
  25. Well done Saints. Really pulls at the heart strings.
