Rickie still looks unfit but good substitutes in Holmes and Dickson down the left hand side. I hope they start next week. Holmes took some very good corners, an area where we had been poor until then. Rickie was denied by some excellent saves. My MOM was Chamberlain and the stats on the OS say it all. Surely we must start scoring soon? We missed the likes of Papa and Antonio coming on to change the game and there are no long throwers now that Antonio has gone.

I think it is right that the lack of goals concerns us. However, it does seem we are not having the luck we deserve. Just look at the stats. for every game so far. But we do have players who can score goals, there is no doubt about that and the team is creating goal scoring chances. I believe that the goals will come in abundance with this team, lady luck will smile on us and we will not be disappointed as we are now. I do wish though we had cover for Rickie and a pacey winger in the Antonio/Papa mould as this is where we are short at present.

AP has not let us down with his signings since he has been here so I guess Guly is the man we need and have been asking for in midfield. A couple of pacey wingers now and cover for Rickie and we are in heaven. COYR.

Papa was not signed last year until the end of August and this came out of the blue, so no need to panic yet.

Too many TSW Fan have high hopes. We will not get a player in his prime as he will not wish to sit on the bench each week and only have a bit part to play. Steve Howard would be admirable. Golly, I would not have guessed that it had deteriorated that quickly. I have not been in there since the Saints Fan who had the Scaffold business was landlord. He used to have an advertising hoarding on the Kingsland pitch side Youngs Scaffold?. It was he who renamed it "The Le Tissier Arms" I believe"

Howard bulled us up front when we played derby in the play offs when GB was manager. We should be able to get somebody like him to shadow Rickie. He would be happy to sit on the bench for most games as he is past his best for top league now. Somebody though, who may help to get us into the Championship is all that we need, not all future stars who will get itchy feet if they do not play regularly. He should be cheap and take low wages in the twilight of his career.

Disappointing for us despite a good first half. I bet Pardew wished he had Papa and Antonio to bring on in the seconed half. We all know we need pacy wingers , a big centre forward to cover Rickie and a hard tackling midfielder. I am sure Pardew does too but he has to be able to persuade them to come and NC to fork out the cash. Get this right and we will be unstoppable.
