[quote The Rickie Lambert transfer to Liverpool is now history. But he was sold far too cheaply and that rankles. Please tell us what we received and details of the future payments from the contract?

An announcement has been made on Dorchester Town website that we have a game with them. A testamonial for one of their players I believe.
-
I think there was a third one too but cannot remember the name.

I have not renewed for the first time since we have been at SMS, This is not due to lack of interest but because of my age, I can longer make a 160 mile round trip to attend evening games especially in the winter and also due to amount of TV coverage. I worked out that last year, a paid double for my concession season ticket than I could by buying tickets before games, due to non attendance. I will still support the Saints and go to the same number of games that I did last season, but it will cost me less.

A great player for us and a nice guy. As many others have said he is in the twilight of his career and we will have to do without him anytime soon. He has looked tired in the last 20 mins of games recently and we do not know what the coaches GPS systems show up during games and training. A good move for Rickie and good money for Saints. Good luck to him.

Veho announced as new main club sponsor of Southampton Football Club
rooney replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I see that VEHO are one of the 9 Regional Finalists from the South and East, in the HSBC 2014 Global Connections Competition. They have been invited to attend an International Exchange in Istanbul. They will be able to network with the other regional finalists and meet British and Turkish companies and thought leaders and are to attend the Great Festival of Creativity Event in Istanbul. Each of the Regional Finalists will receive a financial reward of 2pc on any lending facilities taken out during the competition, up to £6m, which is doubled for the national winners. -
Spuds have taken two managers from us and stolen our song. I hope we stuff them just as we did a few years back at WHL when Hoddle was there and Beats scored two goals in our 1-3 away win. That was a magic day.

A likeable character who bought into rhe Saints ethos, learned the language and always gave his best. Not quite good enough for the P/L but we shall miss seeing him around Good luck Guly.

Definitely. My wife works for a firm of Fine Art Auctioneers and their General Sale once per week is full of good class furniture. Most of it wooden too not like the MDF made rubbish you pay the earth for.

Well done Morgan. A superb player who ought to be in the final shake up.
-
Do clubs not have to comply with the transfer window regulations anymore then?
-
It will be a poor do if we cannot thank the players on their lap of honour with their families ,just because some idiots wish to run on the pitch and spoil everything.
-
What a super video showing what Morgan is and does., Any Frenchman watching will be amazed. Thanks for posting ThreeSixty.

Another dopey idea from the FA just like the others they have conjured up over the last 50 years. And they wonder why we do not progress as a footballing nation!

For the first time since I can remember, I feel very confident for a win against Man U, rather than in hope.

This is a wind up surely?

What the hell is the matter with the Daily Mail ???
rooney replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I would not buy the Mail in any circumstances. -
What a season he has had.Must come into Wroy's reckoning surely?
-
Well played Les Read, great to learn we have identified targets too.
-
Where was Fred Dineage when he was needed.
-
Sunseeker must be a strong possibility. Rolex will not because of our existing watch sponsor.
-
That would be a good signing as he has so much pace and something that we need badly. If we could get Marshall too, the that would be something.

I would rather watch Premiership Football than anything less and the increase is the price we have to pay. To do this, I have given up other things in the past, not least eating, drinking and not buying programmes on the concourse on match days. This has paid for the extra costs of the ST. As I get older, travelling to home matches at 160 miles a round trip becomes more difficult with a result that I do not attend evening games anymore or those on TV. There will come a time too, when I have to balance the cost of my ST against the games shown on TV to see if it is worth simply purchasing one off tickets in the future. I go back to the Paine & Sydenham playing days so this is not a question of loyalty.
