should we go all out to get nicky mayard in january ?
rooney replied to killer fan's topic in The Saints
Need somebody in Rickie mould IMO, Maynard is not terribly big. -
Always looked the part but never quite made it. I remember him being terrified of that big coloured centre half when we played Barnsley at SMS. His name escapes me but he played for WBA for some while.

I seem to recall from this site that the HMRC appeal against the football creditors rule ,was being held at the High Court on 23rd November. Where is Saint_John when we need him? He is normally is up to date on these matters.

Never seen this type of warm up before either Home or Away. Perhaps the Physio has been on a course.
-
Thanks for the translation Saint-Armstrong-I always have difficulty in hearing what he says.
-
We would have gone down anyway if he had not been put on gardening leave. He is such a dour person and frankly, I just cannot see that he has any motivational skills, from all the TV appearances I have seen.

We still do not really know why 'arry, Storey & Lampard snr left West Ham. There were plenty of rumours at that time, but I wonder if it will all come out after the latest court case
-
I do not think 'arry could claim he sold Mandy his French Stamp Collection, as even then there could be a CGT liability.

Enjoyed that1

Obviously the Judge at the Hearing thought that there was more mileage in all this after hearing the preliminaries. Cannot wait until 23rd January.

We bought him because he was supposed to be a goal scoring midfielder, but he did not score any goals. Not MOM very often in fact, I can only remember him having a really good game at Craven Cottage and Wigley pulled him off to a chorus of "You dont know what your doing"

The test will be when we start in the Premiership next season. I wonder how many of our current players will make the step up? Thats when the comparisons can start.

Proof that we don't need to fill SMS to expand...
rooney replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
Any sound businessman would require at least 25K ST Holders for three years or so and sell outs every week, before he would even consider expansion at SMS. We did not get that many when we were in the Premiership before and I doubt we will again. Anybody who thinks otherwise is deluded, so once and for all, let's forget this expansionist thread that seems to come up with alarming regularity these days. -
Corp should understand that the debenture is registered at the Companies Registry not the Land Registry. It is a Floating Charge allowing PFC to trade with their assets and would become fixed in the event of default. Portpin Ltd may not necessarily hold the deeds of Fratton Park and that is why there is no charge appearing in the Land Registry charges register. Notice in the Companies Register is notice to the world that a charge is in existance and this takes preference over unsecured creditors and other potential chargees. Any lender or large creditor always searches the Company Registry to see what is already outstanding as they would have to give priority to this.

Exactly, we have no alike cover for Rickie if he is injured.

If I was a curled spring whippet, I would be fast asleep in my owners arm chair with my snout under my front paw after that.
-
Must remember to bring my own Seat Back if I am fortunate enough to get a ticket

He is growing with experience and as S-Clarke said, I am not nervous when he is in the team.

Fonte,Cork, Guly, Lambert & Connolly were not up to scratch for me today. Saved by SDR and Kelvin with Chappers working extremly hard.NA admitted after the game that he should have made more changes following Derby & WHU.

Mostly once a month so you had better halve it.

Despite all the peripheral debate on the state of the Training ground, I would support Matthew Le God's thoughts that when we are in the Premiership, we shall be less likely to loose players at such early age as with Walcott, OXO and Bale. It depends how successful we are, which may determine how long they stay ie Wayne Bridge
-
It is all about tactics. Something NA can impress us with, unlike Uncle George when he was as SMS.

I think they play rugby on this pitch too. Hopefully not too cut up so early in the season, so as to prevent us stroking the ball about.

His interview on Saints Player after the game was great. He is so happy to be playing with Saints and in the Championship.
