Turned on Radio Two whilst taking wife to work and there was Freddie M singing "We are the Champions" Now that is an omen.

Agree that Jack Cork was superb today. He had so much time and space that he created for himself. That is what he and Morgan will be like in the premiership. So much to look forward to.
-
The pitch invaders must have been Skates in disguise. No right minded Saints fan would risk holding up the game and possible suspension to do that. The delay could have led to a goal. Simple Morons- we do not want you at St Mary's.
-
Deepest sympathies, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
-
The pitch did have some bearing on the game but not all. Blackpool played better on it as they are simply used to playing on it, just as we are on the great pitch at SMS. This made it difficult for us to control the ball as we would like.
-
The game was crying out for wingers and pace from us. We had neither. Terrible game from our point of view and terrible pitch.
-
I thought it was only £6m WGS wanted to pay for Saha and Malbranque. Even so RL sacrificed a small short term gain for a considerable loss in turnover and WGS when we got relegated. That was nonsensical and showed lack of good business acumen.

Club Finance Story - On Solent from 7am this morning
rooney replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
By capitalising their Loans, they have made a stronger base for the Club as the Loans were probably repayable on demand. The shares have to be sold for the Leibherrs to get their money back now and thus have shown their comittment to the club. The have made a permanent investment now. -
I seem to remember the Northam singing "Super Kev" when he was with us.

I find it rude and disrepectful to the players. One would not do it at the Theatre or School Play I am sure. Not only that, season ticket holders miss seeing the equivilent of at least one whole match by leaving early each time. That canot be good value for their ticket surely?

Kelvin is a must for us if we get in the premiership but we must look further afield, as we did when we signed Tim Flowers who had to wait his chance. A young good goalkeeper would be ideal as cover for Kelvin for a year or two. Hennesey or Al Habsi would be good if their team gets relegated but I cannot see them wishing to play second fiddle, even for a short period.

Yes I do really think that. Its called loyalty bonus.

I think that is a little unrealistic Fishfingers, but certainly those of us that have renewed year in and year out during the dark times, should be rewarded within the pricing structure
-
Thanks for the reports guys. We could hear you loud and clear on Solent via the Saints Player. The sound created seemed to be coming from more than 800!

Nigel always does business privately and behind closed doors!

Did'nt they win the Ted Bates trophy at the first game at SMS?
-
During our first season in League 1, many of Adam's shots were powderpuffy. However I really think he has been working on that aspect of his game and his shooting power is so much stronger now. I would not wish to crticise though, as he is such a talented all round player.

Pardew immediately recognised what we wanted and what we had been crying out for for years: a great big bloke at CH (Jahidi) and a similar one up front, Rickie. That set us on our way, Firstly though, Nicola for having the forsight and Markus for having the money.
-
Such a classy player who seems to have so much room around him now that we are out of Div 1. He will excell in the Premiership as he is at the moment and well worth his regular place in the team .
-
NA says on Saints Player that he will be very surprised if Adam is not on the Team Sheet.
-
And that was under the stewardship of Mr Lampitt. Will the cuurent Head of Integrity at the FA seek to interview the former, I wonder?
-
I expect that TB will now run out of cash and with no buyer, he will have to liquidate. Gaydamak and Baloo will do a deal between them to apply for change of use, as it will have been proven that nobody will buy to run a football club. Perhaps Tescos or Persimmon Homes will be the owner after all, Baloo and Gaydamak will be paid in full and they all lived happily ever after.

A Mr Nicholas Ferguson aged 56 is the Director. Ring any bells?

Now that really was a clever piece of literature and above all-it made me laugh. I would love to see a picture of a skates face trying to understand it all.
