Win % at Saints Nigel Adkins 55% Claude Puel 38%
-
If we finish below AFCB i think Puel and Black should be gunged on the pitch
-
I wonder if Puel would be prepared to work under a more experienced premier league manager? Perhaps learn under Pellegrini for 2-3 seasons and then take the reins?
-
Ill save you any trouble Mopo: i was tough on him and disappointed with the FA Cup exit. Felt we had a great squad under him (Lambert, Lallana, Morgan, Vic, Lovren, Shaw, Clyne) and could have done better (top 7 minimum) Koeman: supported him throughout and even during his lean period. Doubt youll find a single negative post from me on him. Think hes a top manager
-
The attention has mostly been on Puels goal scoring record, but his goals against record isn't great either. We have scored the least amount for 10+ years and conceded our most for last 4 seasons. Koeman and Mopo both played more open football than Puel but both conceded less goals.... go figure Its almost like the best form of defense is attack
-
Just when I thought Les Reed couldn't get any dumber he goes and does something like this.... AND TOTALLY REDEEMS HIMSELF
-
We have the 7th best squad in the league - we should be competitive against the top 6 teams (zero league wins all season) We should not be 15 points adrift of Everton We should be well clear of WBA and AFCB (not 1 point above) We should have scored more than 17 at home all season we should have comfortably beaten HBS and Prague Our squad is arguably not as good as previous seasons and for that I blame Reed, but its still the 7th best and very capable of playing some decent football (EFL cup final proved that)

You dont think this forum + 606 + Facebook and twitter is a good sample of Saints fans?
-
Is this why a small % of the fanbase want Puel to stay? Because they think of the worst case scenario rather than the best? Lets keep Puel or we might appoint Bradley or Tony Adams Reed has a 50/50 success rate so far, i dont think hell gamble twice.

four top-flight home games without scoring for the first time in club history.

Decent summary here >>> http://outsideoftheboot.com/2017/05/13/tactical-philosophy-slavisa-jokanovic/
-
Probably Kat, Les, Wilson, Ralph and 75% of the fanbase?
-
au revoir Puel Nice guy but the performances, europe and player fall outs meant this was only ending one way. Take it Black goes too? Full clear out
-
You have promoted Everton already?
-
I think we only want or need video tech when decisions are AGAINST us? I'm still in favor of letting this play out - over a season these things always seem to even out and adds to the excitement. win some lose some
-
Youll need to ask R&R as they run the club and they no likey.
-
Lets hope les doesnt do anything stupid this summer. Chambers Mk II
-
The deterioration of Gabbiadini highlights the main issues. We had a guy scoring for fun and have kicked the beans out of him quick smart. He must be thinking WTF

The damage is sadly done and a semi decent 2nd half with no goals (again) against Man United reserves is not going to change that. We allowed United to play at a slow pace and they restricted us to pop shots from 20 yards. Was a dull first 45 minutes on par with Hull at home. United played with zero intent or intensity and yet we still managed to mess it up. Like 4 like subs, give me a break Puel. That was the golden ticket to end the jinx against the top 6. 12 league games - ZERO wins! Unprecedented Puel is finished here and think even he knows it. Anyone else clock R&R (Reed and Ralph) looking unimpressed in the stands? -
Agree tonight was better, but united treating it like training game helped alot. I too am feeling sorry for Puel, has a dead mans walking feel about it all and for all his faults he does seem a nice guy. Does black ever move from his seat? Just seems to be poor Puel motivating from the technical area and seen him take a whack earlier (ball right on the side of his face) Either way, stay or go we need to act fast after Sunday

Apologies i have been a bit glass half empty of late.

You wont have a better chance to beat united. They played at 30-40% all game. Jose was motionless until Martial made a small sprint towards the end and you could see Jose telling him to calm down
