RIP Lee, truly terrible what happened to you. Thoughts are with your family who must need hundreds of shoulders to cry on.

Here here, after recently marking his score card incorrectly and then unsportsmen like behaviour when playing Garcia he is probably trying to deflect attention and what better than the race issue.
-
Because I was born in Somerset many friends and also my wife call me frock wearer, is this racist? Turn it around, if it was Woods instead of Garcia who was ask the same question and Woods brought up Paella would there be the same commotion.

I for one was one who voted against Cortese in the poll but after I voted I had a rethink and decided that despite his lack of charisma at times along with the abilty to upset some, he has in all honesty so far achieved what he said he would. I've realised that I don't have to personally like the guy to appreciate what he has so far done for our club. With this in mind I am pleased he is staying and looking forward to the future and hopefully exciting times ahead.

So who would we want in if MP does go ?

Barry Fry for me, we need some stability. -
Breaking news sky sports - Pochettino will leave if NC quits

Aint that so! -
I wonder if the purchase of Ramirez for very big bucks and his subsequent failure to impress has caused any disharmony.

Find it difficult to believe that MP would have taken the job if there was a problem with funding for any reason.

What an interesting summer we are in for...
Saint Billy replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I have another idea. Lets wait until the very last minute when all the clubs are vying for the same players and trying to beat the transfer deadline, there has got to be a bargain or two to be had.......................................................oh! Agree with Alps, get your targets in early, either which way you are going to pay top dollar. -
SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction

A little proof that we will need to seriously dip into the transfer market in the summer. There's no excuses for a home thumping. -
What is your problem man, I did'nt say that modern bundesliga crowds are like english crowds from the 60's, I said that the atmosphere was as enticing to me as the football in the 60's. Whether or not Bundesliga crowds wear expensive merchandise or their songs are orchestrated and their terraces have no wit or banter, they generate an electric atmosphere as I experienced at the Arsenal match despite the fact that there was only 3000 odd of them.
-
Maybe, but I dont think I heard many of the chants repeated twice. As for "Would hate that to ever catch on over here", well I for one would prefer the atmposhere created by German fans. When I was a kid going to the Dell in the 60's the atmosphere was as enticing to me as the football. Weirdly enough, when I went to the new wembley to watch us in the JP final a couple of years back, the atmosphere there came close what with the banks of red and white and the flags and general noise etc, unforunately the chants were as per standard but all in all pretty damn good, add a bit of the german type chanting etc and general celebration and it would have been amazing.

I went with my cousin an Arse season ticket holder to watch them play Bayern Munich in the Champions league a few months back and the bayern fans were just awesome and gave far more entertainment than the Arse fans who were pathetic in comparison. The bayern fans were even singing songs in english like "Sing when your winning and Three lions on your shirt", plus they would do these clapping routines along with coordinated jumping and arm movement, sounds tacky but in actual fact looked really impressive with 3000 plus all in sync. What with flags and flares it was a real spectical, not to mention their quality of football. I would love to go over there for a game to capture the atmosphere. I dont know what has happened over here, but it has become all so predictable and sanitised, same songs, same chants ie(were by far the greatest team the world has ever seen) fecking pathetic and sung by every fan of every club in this country, lack of any real atmosphere and charging outrageous prices to witness it.
-
i could'nt care less how he comes over on camera, what he wears or whether he smiles or not. I don't think he is arrogant, if anything I think he is slightly reserved and shy, all that matters is the results on the pitch and so far I think he has done the business.
-
I dont like that statement just as much as I would not like to hear MP say that one day he would like to manage Real Madrid. He probably does, however, I hope he chooses not to make that statement whilst under the employ of this club. That sort of comment is so fecking disrespectful to the club he is presently playing for.

Ramiez, time to settle or not good enough?
Saint Billy replied to southamptonfclegend's topic in The Saints
Its weird because I know he has got it, I was impressed with him when I saw him at arsenal even though we were dicked 6-1 and thought that he will be a real exciting asset to us, but for some reason it has not really happened. At the moment I am frustrated with him and am thinking could that money have been better spent but there is also something telling me that he will come good. Whether he is unable to settle in the UK and is unhappy, or maybe our style does not suit him or the actual game over here is different to what he is use too I dont know, but if we sell him now there is no way we will recoup anything near what we paid so on reflection it perhaps it might be best to keep him and hope that MP sorts him out and starts bringing the best out of him. -
Ah come on ref, at least I didn't show my studs.
-
Was really excited by Gaston and he showed bits of flair when first here but has gone downhill since. He is a frustrating player who has the ability to be class but who's attitude holds him back. Hope we recoup our money spent on him but doubt it. Missed a real sitter today and I can no longer defend him .
-
Agreed, was dubious at first but has really come good second half of the season.
