Starting to think that if we sold Ings and Vest for say £50 mill combined it might benefit us more than if they stayed. We would certainly be able to firm up the defence along with some cover.

We are no doubt paying the price for wasting millions on some really really bad and expensive purchases in the last few seasons and the price we are paying now is that we cant even afford a 2mill loan fee. This season is going to be a tough watch.

I agree that we need a leader with experience but that injury record is very poor and exactly what we don't need.

Do you actually believe this rumour?. Hardly a rebuild of a young squad if we bring in an injury prone 29 year old who has played only a couple of games in two years. I hope his leadership qualities can be heard from the physio’s table.

Blimey, came on here hoping for some exciting news and basically get something similar to MLG's diaries.

I don't have the time or inclination to check if those facts are correct or not, but let's assume they are, how many of those games was he still carrying an injury?. Let's just be honest, apart from a handful of good games he was not at his best or he was injured last season. And if the reason is because he wants to move away then he is no good to us anyway so let's get some funds for him now and move on.

If he cant keep fit now what are the chances of him keeping fit as he gets older.

The chances of him staying injury free for a whole season are very remote wouldn't you say.

Personally I am surprised Ralph is seemingly settling on letting Ings see out his contract and then letting him leave for nothing. I assume Ralph has managed to see into the future and seen that Ings will go all season without an injury, and also foreseen that Ings will give 100% effort even though he will be leaving. Far too risky for me and a good chance of wasting a possible 20 million plus in to get a replacement.

Don't worry, even if Ings stays this guy will get plenty of opportunities bearing in mind Ings injury record.
