  1. Bit random but has Frank Turners 'I still believe' ever been played as a pre match build up song? Think it would be quite good as one of the lyrics is I still believe.... in the saints! (he is a saints fan isn't he?) and he released when we were in league one and probably created it when we were in admin or around then so is very apt, rather play his song than U2 the saints are coming one. Anyway win here and I will firmly believe we will at least match last seasons 7th place.
  2. This Jake Vokins must be highly rated if he's playing for the under 21s at just 15.
  3. Like Adam I'd like to play under Rodgers Lallana instead of give it a go with Koeman in a club I'd love to be at for life! W@nker. Also Clyne, "Rodgers can take me to another level" comments.....Nearly all these modern footballers really don't have their heads screwed on
  4. I'd say very unlikely but if one of us did what a story and a winner for football as it will show money doesn't always buy success. Add to that Pep will be walking into an actual challenge and it would be hilarious that he'd have to walk in to playing on thursdays in the Europa league while re building a squad. Even if Man United pip them it will be funny. Also whenever talk of this comes up for us it always goes tits up, but for some reason i just can't see that happening. I also can't see us making up 7 points on City in the last 12 though, unless Aguero + Kompany miss a large percentage of the remaining games and we beat them at home on 30th April with 2 games to go after that
  5. Well I wish we could of played this pre summer melt down 2014 we could of made a mint buying all our players before they left!
  6. Without knowing any of the posters well or in person, I don't think many people will be able to irrefutably comprehend whether or not certain posts are sarcasm or not.
  7. Form Table after todays games and Chelsea game
  8. Must be a genius with an IQ above 147 then :smug:
  9. Never said anything about what will happen with our form just know our club is looking good for the long term. No matter what our form is.
  10. Clasieeeee
  11. Didn't look that way last two seasons he was playing for us, seeing as he was playing and we were top 6-8 most of both seasons. In fact CL was looking possible at one point in January. Played okay in his first full season in the Premier League as well
  12. I'd say Victor is the better player but if he wants 100k a week or a "bigger club" move..Which has been clear for over 12 months now. It would of been worth keeping Cork at a much smaller contract and have him as one of the long standing players who gets along with many in the squad already. Romeu in as Wanyama replacement. He's a good player but sometimes he's a liability, and only exceptional v the bigger teams.
  13. Koeman still clueless?
  14. Might as well offer him to China for £25 million . Window is still open, and will only be available for 8 more games for us if a 5 game ban.
  15. I think With Romeu in the squad, Clasie or Prowsey along side him with Reed as backup. We'll do fine these next 5 games, and it'll show Wanyama isn't worth as much as he thinks he is. He probably wants 100k a week in his next contract. Maybe he'll go to China.
  16. Well obviously not. But if he gets suspended for 5 more games that's him banned and therefore missing for about a 1/4 of the season, without injuries. Also he played well against them, as I pointed out he plays well against the big teams, then average or poor other games. Whereas Cork consistent no matter who the opposition
  17. Both good players at what they do, I'd say both have incredible stamina good at pressing and tackling. Wanyama is stronger, Cork better on the ball and has more agility. Wanyama plays stormers against the big teams, but rarely if ever scores. (Hull goal seems like a bit of a fluke now). Cork didn't score for 100 odd games but 6 months before he left scored a few in a short space of time and got a a goal or 2 for Swansea. So now 12 months on after Wanyama's 3rd debatable or not red card of the season! With Cork never being sent off as I recall (for us at least). Who would you rather have in the squad now, considering all this and the fact Cork would probably ask for a fraction of the wages Wanyama would be asking for in his next contract
  18. What's the point in bothering at all then? Might as well hope for a relegation battle every season to makes things interesting.
  19. Comes to Chelsea in 6th, Chelsea: A meteoric rise for Guus Hiddink’s men sees them drop points just once in the last 15 games of the season, to Norwich of all teams. Ahead of Liverpool on goal difference and John Terry ends his career on a high Well they've already dropped 2 to Watford with 14 games left Maybe it was a Chelsea fan who kept pressing the simulator till he realised 6th is the highest possible position they can finish and thats after winning 14/15 games.....
  20. I wish our fans realised how silly they look sometimes (or all the time) due to not looking at the bigger picture. So glad that the people that run the club have a long-term vision as opposed to some fans with extremely myopic views
  21. Yeah it could of gone 2 ways, perform well in the 6 games and it would of given us confidence and the fringe players more game time. Performed badly and it would of dented our confidence more and made our players more drained.
  22. Schneiderlin-25m Could instantly solidify our mid-field which has been weak defensively since Viera and Gilberto Silva left! Also suits our playing style down to a tee. No way Far too much! Callum Chambers- 16m Could be a backup CB and RB and can also play in midfield. Oh he's played for one season at our pricey academy down south. Fine do it straight away, he's young so it'll be worth it in 5 years time.
  23. Because Wengers a backwards, stubborn, stingy, niave manager that's why! Anyone with Arsenals squad, stature and resources would of bought Schiederlin in, it was a no brainer! He said he cost too much money though. Could play with his fellow frenchman Cocovan or rotate when necessary. Now Cocovan is out the team, they're struggling. Per Mertesaker is also a liability when it comes to any sort of pace or cleverness on the defensive line, can't see why he doesn't play Paulista against the Costas and Vardys etc.
  24. 41, So Neil McCann never even scored a premier league goal for us, what an awful signing he was. Can't believe I missed Oakley. Recent ones I missed were Jay Rod, Pelle, Morgan, Toby, Lovren and Puncheon and Bertrand
  25. I thought it was going to be a first 11 of managers we've had who've played at a world cup
