He said they're not ready or along those lines but he never said that about McCarthy... I know he is younger than them but you never know he could see him as progressing faster than those two, or he could see none of them as ready in which case I wouldn't be surprise to see us get a CB, probably on loan within the next few days.

I think we do need to move fast on this position, hopefully at least one will be signed this week, which won't be VVD as Celtic are still in CL qualifiers. If a scenerio of Fonte or Yoshida getting an injury in training or the match on Thursday happens we are really, really short in the CB position.

I'd be very surprised if it's completed in 48 hours like they say. Tobys was '48 hours' 2 weeks before they actually signed him.

Why don't these season ticket holders 'mates' get a membership themselves seeing as they aren't the ones who've forked out for a whole season ticket and they want to go, hey? I'd be disappointed if we signed Vlaar, might as well stick with what we have. Maybe would take him if one of Fonte or Yoshida got a serious injury, so I say leave him as a free until we know such matters.
