  1. Just a non-event really.
  2. Thought he would miss, bless him. Just received this - made me chuckle.
  3. Last year Chelsea won the League Cup and finished top 4, therefore its place in the Europa League went to Spurs (6th).
  4. Here we go....
  5. will lallana miss the one that gives the cup to City?
  6. He'll just put an apology in the Liverpool Echo.
  7. That's if Toure doesn't get him first!
  8. When Pelle was given the wave to return to the bench to come on, he was warming up with Mane. It took him a slight while to realise it was him getting the call. Is it lack of match sharpness, or confidence - perhaps a half-game with the U21s to try and get him a goal at least.
  9. Mike "look at me with my exaggerated mannerisms" Dean is the ref on Tuesday.........
  10. I reckon he might with it being Chelsea, and 2 of Terry/Ivanovic/Cahill being CBs. Pace may be the key.
  11. Yes, the ball was moved closer to the goal, inside the penalty area in fact. The wall was then pushed back into the goalmouth as a result, in fact it may even have been behind the keeper!
  12. I think some were abusing it to their advantage... i.e. getting a free kick moved to a less threatening area. I do remember one instance of a kick being moved into the penalty area, which meant the wall could go on the goal-line.
  13. It would be a 3-game ban, had Wanyama not been stupid in the Bournemouth game, and then inexplicably again in the Norwich game. Had it only been a potential 3 match ban, I can see Saints appealing, otherwise it may end up being 6.
  14. So..... Yoshida in then or a back 4!
  15. They got him. Loaned back to Cov for rest of season.
  16. It was the same last season - he was constantly grabbing Pelle in the box - I should think Fonte would have had pointed it out to the ref (if Rooney can be in the referee's face every five minutes....)
  17. Who the f**k's that?
  18. Wanyama out of cup game and Watford now. Time/opportunity for Reed.
  19. "Thwee, two, one.Go Go Go..."
  20. Well "Steve " did say Saturday was his last game with Saints, so he is being replaced... I am sure we all await with baited breath...
  21. Barry Gale is the answer.
  22. Yes look at me. Look at me. My over-exaggerated gestures and facial expressions. Never has the advantage message been demonstrated with such flair....

    Wanyama

According to ESPN his record reads 3 yellows and 1 red now.

    Wanyama

I think that was his 4th and 5th yellows, which now counts as a red (therefore 1-match ban)?
  25. As others have said, game of two halves - during the majority of the second 45 Bournemouth had little penetration - lots of huff and puff, but nothing really to blow the house down. It had shades of the Villa game last season, where Saints just sat back and went into cruise control for the 2nd half. Today Saints had one attack, and with a slightly better final ball it would have 3-0. Bournemouth need to beat the teams around them, and try to match those that finished in the bottom half last year to survive. With a fully fit squad, they are significantly better than Villa, Sunderland and Newcastle, and on a par at least with Watford and Norwich. It would seem that Murray and Ritchie need to score the majority of the goals needed to achieve this, which is a tough ask but by no means impossible.
