  1. Hopefully Bamba will still be away in the African Nations, which would negate their aerial presence at the back. Seems ages until the game though!
  2. Didn't play today either for Palace... Start those conspiracy theories!
  3. Just seen the goals properly on SSN (I did watch the stream but missed the 2nd goal!) - red card was justified but the probable 3-match ban punishment seems a tad harsh. That "Julie" lad seems to be doing well. (The BBC Producer now seems to accept it is pronounced Ger-Guly, but we'll wait and see).

    Shooting

Corners have got better with Fox in the team - Schneiderlin can also deliver a decent ball. However with Fox, you usually see 1 or 2 a game that will sail over everyone at the near post, and bounce down into open space past the far stick....

    Shooting

Holmes against Watford is the one that springs to mind straight away..... could be wrong though?

    Subbuteo

I got a similiar cricket game for Christmas once year - a cloth-like pitch and outfield, fielders with a fixed stance, and batsman and bowlers with push/pull controls! I'm now going to look for it to see what it was called!!!

    Kris Boyd?

Can see him going back to Rangers as a replacement for Jelavic.
  8. Possibly to do with Decembeard, to raise awareness for colon cancer.
  9. I will let the big cheeses know their massive map in the office is inaccurate - whoops. :embarassed: Swanwick Lane (I think?) is clearly marked as the boundary for PO15.
  10. Technically the last bit of the SO(uthampton) postcode area is about a mile after Junction 8 of the M27 (SO31). Pass over the marina and then go under the two bridges close together, the next overhead bridge you come to more-or-less is the boundary for PO(rtsmouth) 15 (One of the sad benefits of working in Logistics) I wonder if there will be any banners etc hanging from the bridges on the way down
  11. I'd get a established young keeper in like Joe Lewis or Alex Smithies, someone that is prepared to be patient and initally be the backup yet still be capable of pushing KD for the No.1 slot. Bart to go out on loan to play regular football and prove he can potentially cut it consistently at 1st team level with Saints - unless this happens we'll never know.
  12. I logged onto the site by chance on Thursday evening and saw that they were going up for sale the following day. Perhaps a fairer method would have been to put them for sale on Monday, and announce today at the game that this would be happening. I had the opportunity to get on the phone at 0830 yesterday as I was on the late turn, had it been next week I would have probably missed out.
  13. Season Ticket holders may also be able to book online, despite it not be listed as an option on the OS - it is listed as "Buy Tickets" on my account, but not at all on one belonging to a non-Season Ticket holder.
  14. The scramble has begun - I finally got through and then the entire system crashed! Thankfully all sorted out quickly after a reboot! The helpful lady I was dealing with suspects it could sell out to STH judging by the amount of calls answered/waiting in the first 30 mins - and that doesn't take into account any peeps waiting down at the Stadium.
  15. Julie da Prado?
  16. Doesn't seem to get forward as often as he could do (tactical?) - but when he does, his ball is superb.
  17. Was in Block XX at the very top and despite some fears of a Brighton experience got a terrific view of the entire game. Seems teams are learning to play Saints with a high-line in view of the perceived lack of pace, but we were passing through them time after time first half. It wouldn't be Saints without a comical goal being conceeded! I was not a fan of the Steeeeeeve chant before the game at ALL, but I have been converted. Superb!!!
  18. There was a video clip around of the variation used at Yeovil in pre-season - will see if I can find it.
  19. My father sat in the Itchen on Saturday and wanted to sit there again with the nephew tomorrow. However he was offered the £15 deal which was taken up.
  20. Wouldn't be surprised if Guly is deemed unfit, De Ridder gets the nod over Connolly and there is a slight reshuffle (Lallana to behind striker, Chaplow left etc).
  21. Could a deal be announced tomorrow I wonder? A 3-month loan deal would take it up to the end of the permanent transfer window... Even a 2 month deal would not harm Saints either (if they are successful in getting him) - as the Brizzle City home game is on the 30th he won't miss any games (loan expiring on 31st December, potential permanent move on January 1st).
  22. I remember it well - the game was live somewhere in Eastern Europe and we were queuing for a stream!
  23. Just been down to the TO, stated the 'new' batch should have arrived last week, which may indicate a few ST holders have so far been unable to get tickets. Was advised to ring up, or book online............
  24. We got upto Reading Station around 1600, joined the queue for the bus to the ground - great banter all the way from that point although the journey seemed never ending. When we got inside, as someone earlier mentioned concourse was surprisingly small. Seats were good (we were above the disabled bit) and view was excellent. Fonte, Cork and Guly did not have their best of games - indeed, Fonte's place may start to come under scrutiny after Boro if he fails to perform well. Guly was frustratingly poor at times, and was half asleep when Federici parried Chaplow's effort. If he had been "on the ball" it would have been an easy tap-in for him. However, great vision for the goal! Getting out, not a problem, although direction towards where the buses were that took us back the station was non-existant. Once we found them, straight on and through to the Station where we jumped on the Bournemouth virgin train close to 1st class - standing room only. The work experience kid then demanded we all move down the train where "there was plenty of space", which was met with a polite no there isn't. He then tried to show us, but re-appeared 10 seconds later, remarking to his colleague "There's no way I gonna get through that lot"! Excellent day - noise was superb when we scored, awesome.
  25. Watched the first half clear as a bell (99-100 signal strength throughout) on the Sopcast link with foreign commentary, but it dropped out at the start of the second half. Swapped to the English commentary version and it was excellent, although somewhat fuzzy on a 40" TV
