  1. Not a single English player in the starting 11 for Arsenal. Chambers doesn't even make the bench Man U win please
  2. I just can't see any reason for him to go there other than more money (mind you that's a big reason) but it's not for Morgan to decide is it, it's for the club, and I can't see them wanting to give Poch one of our best players, or Spurs coming up with the right money anyway. If I had to make a guess, I think he could end up at Man City, they need a clear out, prem experience, and home grown players IMO.
  3. They had to make space for the Gerrard w*nkfest of course. Why concentrate on two brilliant goals when you can have a Stevie G montage instead!
  4. Jim Beglin had the audacity to suggest that the reason Liverpool lost was because they were overcome by the occasion.
  5. Oh dear, what a shame. Party poopers
  6. This Stevie G, fairy tale obsession bullsh*t is nauseating.
  7. £40 million Puncheon! Ulp - wrong thread
  8. What a beautiful day :):)Great to get one over Sherwood and in such a decisive manner too. Even nicer for some of my Birmingham City supporting family Well done lads. Now for a celebration beer.
  9. Can't believe what I'm seeing. Wonderful from Long. :D:D
  10. Omg!! Please don't wake me up 4!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. love Shearer's comment that Saints recruited fantastically and Liverpool didn't!
  12. I'm sure Vic would love a big money move to Arsenal - doesn't mean he'll get it though. If the club play hard-ball like they did with Morgan then he's going nowhere. I just wish those that want-away would keep their mouths shut until the end of the season. It can't be that hard can it?
  13. I'm sure the quote is correct, but again, we don't know what the journo said. The question might have been "there is interest from other clubs for your services, were do you see yourself next season? " Vic's answer could have been something like "It's great to be linked with other clubs as it means I'm playing well. As a professional footballer you never know what might happen from one season to the next, so we'll see were I end up this Summer." Thing is, as supporters we are desperate for our players to say "I'm 100% committed to Southampton." Unfortunately, these days that's a rarity
  14. Firstly, concerning the journo saying he has a tape of the interview - wow! What journo doesn't record their interviews? Means nothing. Unless we hear the tape (which we won't) we don't know what the actual questions were or the context in which they were put. I've been interviewed by my local paper 3 times (as a neighbourhood group spokesperson) and every single time they've misquoted me or my comments are taken out of context and made to fit the journalists angle. Same thing has happened here IMO. For all we know the questions were; 1.) Vic, Would you like to play CL football? Vics answer; "I’d love to play Champions League football as I loved being on that stage with Celtic." 2.) Arsenal are reportedly interested in you, what are your thoughts on that? Vics answer "Arsenal are a great club." In journo-land these two lines are sewn together and become "Arsenal are a great club and I’d love to play Champions League football as I loved being on that stage with Celtic." 3.) Arsene Wenger speaks highly of you, and has let it be known he'd like to sign you, have you heard anything about that? Vics response "I've heard it mentioned." This becomes; “Wenger has been talking about me. And he has let it be known he would like to sign me this summer." Do we really think that these are direct quotes? Would Vic really use the words "And he has let it be known he would like to sign me"? C'mon, that reeks of journo speak. Regardless, it would be most appreciated if for the last few weeks of the season, Vic, Morgan and Clyne could keep their mouths shut. Please.
  15. Just seen this on Sky's website, rating the defectors; http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/9815004/balotelli-lallana-can-liverpools-summer-signings-rated-by-tony-gale-on-the-morning-view
  16. Imagine the headlines next day; BERTRAND SNUBS ENGLAND Oh the irony.
  17. Just need Baines and Gibbs to pull out now. Cue ostrich-sized egg on Roy's face.
  18. Wonder how long Mario will stay on the pitch.
  19. I suspect he'd say "Wellllll, you know, I've had Danny Wose in the squad before." Ryan Bertrand is probably a nightmare for him to say.
  20. You'd think a bloke who's managed Fulham and West Brom wouldn't be so blinkered towards players outside of the "big" teams. This is a guy who has said he'd prefer players to get regular football yet contradicts that by also wanting players in the "big" teams where they are likely to get less playing time. Picking Shaw, who has had injury problems and hardly played a game, whilst ignoring Bertrand, is embarrassing.
  21. It's another Sami Mokbel article. He reguritates this stuff every few weeks.
  22. It wasn't long ago he picked Danny Rose ahead of Bertrand too.
  23. Hovercraft
  24. It is bizzare. I feel sorry for Bertrand but the fewer of our players spending time with Hodgon's England the better. Incredible he kept his job after the World Cup and I was insensed that he didn't have the honour to at least offer his resignation. I used to be passionate about England but now I spend my time hoping we lose. What a joke
