Jorge, bom dia I live in Portugal. At our local bar, we have two signed flags, one by the Saints team 2015/2016 with the Portugal flag by its side signed by Jose Fonte and Cedric. What a night 10/7/2016. To be fair, if you asked any Portuguese person prior the euros who Fonte was, they were unsure. Now, he has proved himself. He was overlooked in favour of Ricardo Carvalho who was completely hopeless and ineffective. Fonte has been the best kept secret for years, he is an organiser and a born leader. He is a credit to our club. Cedric is a young player, if he stays with us he will improve. If he leaves for a so called bigger club, he will probably go the way of many others.....downwards.

This is so true. I was talking to a supporter today down in Lagos Portugal who did no know and had really never heard of Fonte. He had heard of Soares but mainly due to the Sprting connection. Now of course they along with the others are national heroes. I explained that the flag signed by the whole of the 2015/2016 Saints team is hanging in our local bar alongside the Portugal flag signed by Jose and Cedric. This of course now is of major interest to Portuguese people. Maybe we should sign Eder? What a cracker of a goal.

We were at our local sports bar here in Portugal where the Southampton flag signed by both our Portuguese players is adjacent to the Portuguese flag, again, signed by both our players. The bar owner Jose, kept shouting "we have two Southampton players" which was winding up the Scoucers. Unfortunately, the Liverpool towel is also on the wall (unsigned). Great excitement when they won tonight. Both Fonte and Soares appeared on Portuguese TV talking about The match. Fonte is a credit to Southampton. To be fair, the Portugal defence looked useless in the early part of the Euros, Carvalho is well past his best. Since they put Fonte and Soares in the team, they haven't looked like losing. Since The Portugal coach has started using Jose and Cedric in his starting lineup, it has seen the Portugal with a much stronger defence etc. Might be coincidence but they look a lot better organised. Over here in Portugal, we will be up in our local sports bar to watch the match. The signed Southampton flag sits right next to the Portugal flag both signed by Jose and Cedric.

Very quiet in the bars over here after Portugal were showing their pensioners off on the field. Should have played Fonte and Cedric at least they would have had more go than Carvalho and Nani.

If we do, it's all about the money is they go north, simples.

After he was sacked by Roma, the press agreed he played "one fixed set of tactics". Would this be good enough for the Premier league? Possibly a sitting duck.

Pereira was also mentioned in the Mirror. From Saint Armstrong, it appears he likes nurture young talent, that will suit Saints.

I live in Portugal, I have a vote as I have lived here for less than 15 years. I will be voting out. Not a difficult decision. Fraud, pocketing of monies. Jobs for mates who clearly cannot do the job. Ordinary people try to take someone to court for bad workmanship, not paying for work done etc possibly taking 10 years. Figures in authority found guilty of fraud still sat in their posts and paid until the end of their elected term. Austerity is so bad people choose between medication and food. Wages are actually cut. Pensions are cut, some pensioners live on 200 euros per month, to cover electric, gas, water, food and medication. There are shortages of people to work on the farms as they have gone to other countries ie UK to work on farms. They get more money in the UK and of course Working Family Tax Credits, that wonderful benefit that props up big business. Take away WFTC, migrants would leave in their droves. The NHS system in Portugal is far better than that in the UK. Hospitals are cleaner. Waiting times are less. Payment to see a GP is 5 euros. Payment for an X-ray is 1.05 euros take it away with you for your GP to see, unless urgent then you are filed straight in to see a hospital doctor. The system is far more efficient. Sun, fresh food and wine are the reasons for living here.

I disagree. Ivanovich, Costa and William all over the ref if something THEY thought they should have. This should be a bookable offence. We were denied a penalty (I was up the other end so some may disagree). Their ball went out then they scored, it was definitely out and over the line. The ref and liner let this go. The liner over by us in the Itchen had a crap game and so did the ref.
