  1. Apparently they had a go at the players, Bertrand was mentioned
  2. Did anyone see the supporters on the pitch?
  3. I couldn’t get the match online tonight, I listened to Radio Solent. At the end of the match I could hear the booing above the wind, then, they said that there were fans on the pitch and specifically having a go at Bertrand? Can anyone elaborate?
  4. The DWP have a new system that targets fraudulent claims on a mass scale, could this be the end?
  5. Not optimistic. We will lose, let’s hope it’s not a rout.
  6. Fonte left in this window last year, the defence has not been much since. van Dijk was injured then angling a move, so the defence has been in array since this time last year. I agree with S Clarke, he was a leader and quite frankly between Saints and Fonte they should have conjured up something for him to go into management once he retired he was loyal. Fonte was good for Saints and Saints were good for him it was a shame it all ended as it did. Still management know best, they always do the world through.
  7. Les Reed is now entitled to take SRP and should retire with good grace. We need young blood, forward thinking.
  8. They won’t sack him though, he is unsackable. As they are saying on Solent, Saints are disorganised and well beaten. Next stop Man Utd God help us.
  9. You have to agree with Dave merrington on Solent today. We have lost the defence since Fonte left. Fonte was an organiser and excellent as a Captain. Since he has gone we have looked weak. There has been Lovren, Van Dijk etc. But it was Fonte who organised the defence the others do not have the intelligence, let them go its been seen these defectors go to a new club and fail including Fonte himself. The manager should be sacked before we end up relegated.
  10. It’s a rout
  11. I will be very interested to see if they do reinvest. I wait with anticipation To see how really interested the new owner is mainly because of the worry of cashing in and taking the monies a la Pompy a few years back. We all know where that has left Portsmouth.
  12. We was robbed, they were crap and Guadiana knew it, he was prancing around having temper tantrums cos he knew they were crap.
  13. Beware VVD of what you wish for, you don’t wish to follow in the footsteps of Morgan, Shaw, Lovren and the rest of the failures.
  14. The constant selling of talent and replacing inadequately has come full circle and bitten us on the backside. Take the start of this season it was blindly obvious we lacked the ability to finish. So instead of signing up some attacking talent we sell Jay Rod. Our whole approach to transfers has been amateur and arrogant. Staff new to go to specsavers our fans recognise the flaws and rubbish footy being served up This. I was at the Burnley game. I can remember watching Saints play Boro’ back in the day on Boxing Day was it 2003? The season of relegation and too be honest it was like dejavue.
  15. The campaign is far from over as Brexiters have little idea what the ramifications of leaving the EU actually are and how the country will run when we leave the EU There was life before the EU you know and actually the UK were very good at it.
  16. Left wanting. No more. Even Krueger got up and left 10 minutes or so before the end had he seen enough?
  17. I agree with you, however, I am not too sure this debate would have even taken place if the vote was to stay in? The media have said it was the less intelligent that voted out, those without degrees and also the elderly, also, because of the migrant problem. This conjecture has fuelled the people who voted in and everyone starts "name calling". Unfortunately, this is not useful and the sooner the people and press realise this stupidity the better. Out is out and lets get on with it. Interestingly, there is rumour around that if you are below pension age in 2019 you will not get free healthcare in Europe. TRader has enlightened us on this by saying that has been agreed? So, slowly surely catchy monkey the UK will get there. Interesting to see what other countries think about it all in an above quote from Trousers.
  18. The clock is ticking away faster than any of the negotiators think. It could be by 2019 that no deal is made and no monies are handed over. The UK is on its own. Will the lorries be stopped at the ports carrying food into the UK and out the following day or will the flow continue as it did the day before? Probably much of the same. Do you think the scare mongering about healthcare for the Brits abroad being treated will happen the day after the UK Brexit? If you do, do you think that the EU citizens in the UK who arrive at hospital the day after Brexit won't be treated? Unlikely. The EU countries will not see their citizens go short just as the UK won't. It's all posturing and wind. The UK won't sink without the EU. Also, why do people who voted remain name call? Jihadists? BRexiteers? It's all a bit Billy bully Bunter. There was a democratic vote, the vote was "out" the country should pull together not name call its all very childish.
  19. I couldn't have put it better myself, totally agree with what you have said. Another ex saints player thinking he had gone to better things but in actual fact has under performed. Why is he a media darling? Maybe they see something different.
  20. That's it, it's all over to the new year. SO management stood firm and didn't back down on the VVD request. For better or for worse we keep VVD. Let's hope he takes his foot out of his backside and starts playing some decent football for Southampton.
  21. End June 2018. He would be wise to go now. Only valued at 2m.
  22. So did I
  23. This is exactly why the need to close the window before the start of the season. Chelsea had a torrid time last Saturday, it appears they have lost their minds. Cedric won't go this season maybe next? If an offer has come in for Cedric as well as VD, this will show the resolve of Saints new owners as to money matters and their full intent.
  24. Totally agree, shut the window 31st July. Players and clubs should then be able to get on with their jobs without all the soeculation. The problem is the foreign clubs can still come in and poach a player, this would not present a level playing field.
  25. Luke Shaw a snip at 18m. Never go back.
