I think everyone is going to be more up for this than Everton are going to up for coming to Saint Mary's. 3-0 saints.

Sparta Prague 1 Saints 0 - Match Thread & Melt Down
Chris27687 replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
We are mid table in the prem and a draw at home to Hapoel Will get us through to the knock out stages of the Europa league & we are in the 5th round of the league cup. Kill the manager, burn the stadium to the ground etc. -
Good result - Liverpool have been on fire and we ****ed on their bonfire. Everton were terrible at home their fans booed them of at half time, they only do that 18 times a season, so hopefully we can kill them next week.

Boufal in the tadic spot where he made his name for Lille. Let's see how good this guy is. 2-1 saints.
-
Looks like we've replaced the telegraph with the BBC as our outlet news agency - after the Eric Black stuff.

This isn't really surprising is it? He wants players who are at their peak playing for the team right now - typically 27-29 year olds. Les and Co thinks this is terribly shortsighted and we have to develop players to get best value and continue with our model - if that means coming 9th/10th this year and then having a more concerted push up the table next year when players like Boufal and Redmond having improved. It's naive to think that a club of our size can consistently compete for the top 4 and European places - we simply don't have the resources. Having said that, a competitive team that does well in cup comps and has a good run in the league every other year is pretty impressive stuff. Essentially they are setting us up for the best chance to win something - probably the league cup at some point in the coming years (hopefuly this year).

£28m... I think he's probably the best finisher from 20 yards and closer in the league - but he's just such a lazy bastard and i don't think that fits into any modern form of football, maybe somewhere in Italy would be best for him.
-
hopefully the international break came at the right time and their form dips and ours rises.
-
No chance.
-
They really need to shorten their election period - best part of a year is ****ing ridiculous.
-
It would be like spending $1.3 billion, I doubt that figure, on finishing practice for yoshida and expecting him to bang them in like Aguero.
-
Nate made his money from poker and baseball prediction*. He is not doing what he does for the money - he doesn't need it. *identifying core traits in hitters that led to greater HR % - amusingly it's being a lazy bastard.
-
Dude, they are trying to predict an election with 3rd party polling data with insanely different methodologies. Give them £20m to drop on extensive polling broadly related to their core weightings and you get closer to the answer. I can't understand why as a mathematician you would **** on someone's work - at the very least it's useful!
-
If you truly do - why are you ****ing on someone else's model? Models & their results are fundamental to improving accuracy as we learn more. My last 3 or so posts condensed: Blah blah blah - predicting humans is hard, but doable.
-
Dude, you don't understand how maths works. He got so much **** for making it closer than everyone else. Everyone; bookies, PEC, major aggregators had this as a 90%+ Clinton victory - he didn't, their model factored this in. There's a quite useful data science moto which should be useful for you. All models are flawed, but some models are useful.
-
They had the best results of the pollsters - a single national pole survey is useless. They felt that a 4/5% swing was possible so they factored it in - everyone else didn't. The problem was HRC - political dynasties are not good. Bush, bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, bush, Obama, Obama , Clinton?!? As much as I would vote for her over him every day that is a serious problem - Clintons and bushes do not have a God given right to run the politics of a country.
-
Nate Silver was right when his 70% Clinton prediction was a mix of narrow trump win or landslide Clinton as the most likely results. Complex maths including humans is hard - they will get better.
-
Amongst other things - it ****es me off that they are so **** we rarely get to ****ing play them anymore. What's the ****ing point of a derby if you never play them. Arrange an end of season nasty.
-
Attacking the judiciary for doing their job is beyond pathetic. The way things are moving would seem to insinuate that this is a much broader constitutional question - why do we run our country like this? There's lots of good answers - let's hope us and the US choose well.
-
Wow, just wow. 2016 has been quite the year. Attenborough to die on Christmas to top it off?
-
We have the same basic electoral system - first past the post. It's to limit the power of fringe parties as historically they have been seen as destabilising to national interests - rise of nazism etc. The only truly democratic system is proportional representation - but certain political parties dont want that to happen as it would be to their detriment. For similar reasons the Republicans like repressing minorities abilities to vote.

Wasn't he signed on 100k/week or something? No chance. All of our signings from now on will be 20-24 with an international cap. Cheap & Driven. You will he the occasional Austin style signing - someone slightly older for a good price, but they will be the exceptions rather than the rule.
-
Pretty unlucky - they where complete **** & we seemed on a bit of a come down after the inter game.
-
They really don't even want to try and play - embarrassing stuff from hull. We could pass it on our own half between VVD & Fonte for the next 45 minutes and I think Hull would take the -1 goal difference as a result. This game is screaming out for Boufal to come on and score a worldie.
