  1. Apparently he is seriously ill after a stroke. Always felt for the bloke. Best striker we had but left out of the World Cup team (rightly as it transpires) and it must have been so tough for him to deal with. Battled with the bottle for much of his life. One of the best finishers I have ever seen. Hang in there Greavsey.
  2. SarniaSaint is my poster of the year. Skin thicker than a Blue Whale and he just keeps going. Bearsy just because. Whitey because no matter how much cr*p you read it is always good to read something by someone who has been around as long as he has to put things into perspective (not that I am that much far behind). There is then a group of posters like Viking Warrior, KRG, Gemmel, Old Nick and a few more who have been incredibly supportive behind the scenes at times for me through the year. It is good to know with all the one upmanship and smartarseness that goes on that people do to the time to listen and to reach out when you need some support or advice. Finally it has been fun watching Coxford Lou toy with the other Muppets and wrap them around her little finger! It is an interesting forum and covers many different areas. My only issues is that it gets a bit too personal at times but having dipped into some others it is certainly no worse. Long may it run!
  3. It has been a great season so far. We could easily have won the matches we have lost or drawn recently and lost of drawn the matches we won earlier in the season so I am not unhappy. Apart from Man City and Sheffield United I think we have done well in the rest of the games. Ron and the management team have done a brilliant job and I am really looking forward to the new recruits this summer and next season. Whatever we get now is a bonus for me.

  5. Thought the 2nd pen harsh but Jose has got away with a few this season so cant complain. Never a sending off though.
  6. Whatever you think of The Press and their need to be put back in their box, his responses have been embarrassing.
  7. The Carry On films were genius. Couldn't make them now of course! I remember when the "new wave" of comedians tried to make one. Carry on Columbus I think. It was crap.
  8. I saw the second one first. Saw the first one last night and lolled at the bit where het gets covered in p*ss and the ongoing gag. As you say, gentle humour and a lot comes across as adlibbed.
  9. There isn't much that makes me laugh on TV at the moment but saw this the other day and it cracked me up. Not usually a Peter Kay fan but this is great.
  10. I expect it is for chaffing.
  11. Saw an ad on TV for this company last night. WTF? anyone know what it is all about?
  12. How many different questions can you ask after a match? It is a game of football we are talking about not the theory of relativity. It must be a nightmare trying to think of a different way to ask the same questions week after week.
  13. I bet Sir Isaac Newton would have preferred to reach his conclusion from watching this rather than an apple!
  14. a) we don't know for sure that Morgan is leaving this summer b) if he decides to go it is his choice as to where c) if he wants to play CL football anytime soon he would be batsh*t crazy to sign for Spuds.
  15. Be great to get a piece of that action!
  16. Whitey Grandad - Clive Dunn Alpine - Victor Meldrew. Coxford Lou - Emma Peel in a leather jump suit Batman - Private Pike from Dads Army You were close with me Lou. Yes to beer belly and I still have a lot of hair for a 61 year old but I am just under 6ft tall.
  17. Apparently Manure are lining up a £100m bid for Bale. Quality player. But £100m? Really?
  18. Thing is none of know at the moment what is in Clyne's mind. Before the pitchforks are shaken and the torches are lit shouldn't we at least wait to find out what he proposes to do?
  19. Horrible news. You would think with all of the health checks nowdays they could pick up a heart defect. Obviously not in this case. So sad for his family loved ones and the club. RIP fella
  20. I feel a bit sorry for St Charlie. Okay he was a bit of a fruit cake but he was harmless. Perhaps they could have banned his alta egos and kept him here on a short leash? There are those that come here and abuse people constantly with no recompense whatsoever. How does that work?
  21. Journos are there to ask awkward questions, the type that the fans want answered. They are not there to stroke egos. Pearson knows this very well. He is just making himself look more and more deranged.
