  1. Couldn’t have said any of this better myself.
  2. I’m not defending this at all, but you’re bound to get a few idiots from time to time and at least now they can pretty much be identified and dealt with as they should be. The fact these incidents are reported show how rarely they happen.
  3. IMO, it’s 99.9% better than it was back when I started going in the 80s. The abuse and comments thrown at the players at times then was ridiculous when you lack back at it now. I’ve not heard a racist slur at any game for years now. It’s not perfect by any means but in my opinion it’s about as good as it’ll get, without turning it into a ridiculously sterile and dull environment.
  4. He was excellent end of last season so why he was frozen out under Hughes god only knows.
  5. Get the f*** in you f***ing little beauty! Amazing what a difference one man can make with passion, a plan, and work ethic can make. Was that really the same group of players?!
  6. Lips
  7. Even if he stands still for 95% of the time, walks for 3% and jogs for 2% it’ll still be a vast improvement on Austin.
  8. Yep, it’s nice to feel excited about going to a game for the first time in ages.
  9. Great to see (speaking too soon possibly) Bednarek back in. Thought it odd he’s been out in the cold given how well he did end of last season.
  10. Let’s hope the players are listening a lot of listen.
  11. Houdini?
  12. If he’s willing to learn then yes. The question is, is he - and is he capable of changing to become a team player.
  13. His work ethic wasn’t the issue for me it was trying to do too much and be too clever with the ball and then being dispossessed. Wasting decent possession by trying to be world beater, rather than keeping it simple when obvious easier options were on.
  14. Could we possibly see some exciting, energy-ridden, attacking, high-press football once more?! Really very exciting news if it comes to fruition.
  15. Anyone who saw him on the pitch knows. Didn’t take a football genius to see that he’s not up to it.
  16. We’ve all seen him in the PL and he’s nowhere near good enough.
  17. Another great listen, and interesting thoughts. Just can’t agree with the idea to stick with Hughes and if we could get someone like BFS on a game by game basis then why not. Staying up is more important than gambling with the current manager, and you’d have to think at least he’d get us fit, motivated and organised. It can’t be worse than what we have. We could soon reach the point of no return...,
  18. Drove past a written off Ferrari FF by the Winchester turn off at midday too. Pricey prang.
  19. I’ll be jumping all over this.
  20. Blimey, oddschecker see him at 1/8 and 1/7 to be next manager to go.
  21. Great system. Shame our officials probably won’t be able to use it properly, if the WC was anything to go by.
  22. Thought the "undr the cosh" podcast was particularly enlightening....and surprising. What a top bloke.
  23. Sorry, I don't buy the fact that it's the weakness of our squad that's the issue. Are people seriously saying the individuals we have warrant us being in the position we're in? In terms of quality of players we have, we are easily a mid-table side. Simply, they're not being coached/trained hard enough or being played to their strengths - or clearly motivated enough to give a monkeys. I'm not talking attitude, i'm talking being technically good enough to not be in the position we are. Give them some proper coaching, set them up properly, and instill some passion and desire into the side and we'd fare much better. I'm not saying top 6, but certainly not bottom 6.
  24. I'm guessing the 1 we've scored against the cones went in off Jimmy Bollard?! Apologies.
