East Kent Saint replied to Pass the Dutchie's topic in The Saints
I enjoyed the game , obviously I would have been much happier if one of our chances had gone in , was our offside goal offside anyone ?? couldn't see from the top of the Chapel !!! Is Bertrand OK ? he seems to get caught away from the left back spot plus his forward runs not so productive . -
The announcements and chat are much improved in clarity so well done , the music however is too loud to be comfortable , hence the conversation comment , used as an indication of how loud the music was yesterday. Not much needs to change , just turn the volume down slightly when playing music and don't ever play "My way" again who ever is singing it ........
-
Too loud (music) in Chapel end , almost painful , no conversation possible !!!!
-
Fonte did well for Saints and although his leaving was not the best he still had to put his family first IMO and if he just fades away we should not forget the good times !
-
I suppose if Saints had just put him up for sale people would be saying it was disgraceful treatment of loyal player who had years left in him !!!!!!

Seeing several goals on MotD this weekend , which in normal view from the side line looked pretty well placed , were in fact massive deflections or pretty flukey !!! Walcotts goal looked well placed in the corner but viewed from behind him he hit it straight into the crowd of players and it bounced off the defenders knee to beat the keeper . Then Silva's goal looked straight forward but he actually caught it with the edge the boot and the keeper got a hand on it as well so what were said to be fantastic goals were in fact just lucky.

UEFA are now going to sideline Barca's ref !!
-
Re Barca , totally agree the end of the match was fixed ! dodgy pen , extra time etc but no mention of this in reports just fantastic comeback etc even worse than ManU bias or Liverpool Bias in the 80's .
-
Seen at normal speed it looked very much like an accident , Mings was trying to jump over Rooney and Ibra.... in the aftermatch interviews both players said stuff happens and they were happy to leave it at that so it could mean they both meant it and wanted to get away with it !!!
-
Us with dodgy knees soon get weary of getting up to see the action when the ball gets near the penalty area !!! Standing or sitting is OK but constant up and down is a killer for me . I find people who want to stand just to some how buck the system pretty irritating but not as irritating as ManU getting a late winner or their fans more concerned with jumping round and round with total disregard to the events on the pitch !!!!
-
off to Saudi Arabia !!!! Hooray !!!! might find making the wrong decision has different outcome over there !!!
-
Leicester managed to hang on to their forwards but seem to really miss Kante plus Mahrez has fallen apart since his move didn't happen in the summer. Vardy looked out of sorts after not moving to Arsenal but the team are not playing as well this season leaving him isolated up front . At the back Huth and Morgan look slow and their defence looks porous like ours ! So hanging on to players is not the answer but refreshing the team is but not wholesale big name transfers that don't get played a la Man U under Van G .
-
Well it does seem that the club is trying to do just enough until someone else comes along with cash .
-
As little of our game is usually shown on MotD can anyone tell me if the other 6 shots on goal (from BBC stats) were actual chances of a goal ? Like Liverpool at the moment we seem to have all the possession , more shots etc but less actual goals !
-
It's looking like any club that is for sale , ie minimum investment in new players , leave that to the new owners/partners to sort out if/when they take over !
-
So the diamond didn't work for Leicester either ! They could have made a game of it if Grey had ever tried to pass to Vardy rather than shoot from distance.

The idea really was that certain comments have been the accepted truth ie Koeman didn't play youngsters , Morgan moved from Saints for Champions League football at Man U and is now saying he is moving to Everton because they aspire to CL ! Man C would win the Prem as they got rid of safety first Pell and installed Guardiola who for the first few games the "bees knees" Finally top 6 teams could buy and keep the top players unlike mid table Saints etc ...
-
BTW the first two points were truth !!!!
-
From the picture in todays paper Forster couldn't move fast enough to save the free kick because his shorts are too tight !
-
Koeman plays 4 youngsters and thrash City ,Morgan joins Everton as they have Champions League ambitions , Guardiola needs to overhaul his whole squad as they can't score and their goalkeeper can't stop shots , Chelsea can't hang on to their players as they don't have enough ambition / pay their players enough /don't invest in top players .
-
er what do you think caused the Bosman ruling which gave the players the upper hand ?? Yes clubs dropping players then stopping paying them while retaining the players registration !!!!! The players were then unable to earn a living from football which led to the " restraint of trade" ruling known as the Bosman ruling. re Payet BTW !
-
Selling the club could well be worse than present situation . There are are few buyers that have the club in their hearts , they see it as an opportunity for themselves or their governments. Man C are a public relations stunt now , Chinese investors are , like Russian investors, are trying to export their wealth while pleasing their rulers at home. There are numerous examples of dodgy investors in clubs like Chelsea , Leeds , Cardiff etc.

Players putting in a transfer request usually have an offer (via agent) lined up already , so where does he think he's going ? My bet is Everton .
-
If we are well depressed how are our team feeling now ? Hoping they can pick themselves up better than I'm managing !
