Adams scores the only goal in a home win .

Magic weekend after all π
-
JWP made it to Burnley, wonder if Parker can get him going forward π
-
They need to reduce subs to 2 max !
-
Just watched Motd , he was ranked 1st in all categories for WHU as well as scoring from way outside the box and nearly repeating that goal with another attempt that hit the bar !
-
Como 6 Torino 0 , Adams played 90 mins .
-
Wouldn't be surprised, another woefully managed club selling best players and pissing off the manager so he is leaving at the end of the season !
-
Ipswich being thrashed by Sheffield Utd !

WHU have transfer window revival π

Article/interview in Guardian today https://www.theguardian.com/football/2026/jan/22/southampton-leo-scienza-championship-interview-brazilian-sweden

Depends how he would perform against defenders at a higher level ! as we found out in the Prem .
-
Carrick with an excellent start at Man U 2 goals , 3 chalked off for off side and about 6 saves by City keeper ! I don't think there was any chance he would have come to Saints with 4 4 2 !!!!

JWP to Burnley (says the Sun )
-
S Mane scores only goal of the game as Senegal beat Egypt to go through to final , Salah can come back before the window closes !
-
I know that but the auto system wasnβt working so they had to draw their own lines !! My point is without var or if there is doubt when done manually or the ref has to look at what is presented to him pitchside rather than seeing the same endless screen shots then itβs Bollox and a goal . If the game had gone on without var there would have been no problem and I would have watched the rest of the game π
-
It didn't look offside in any screen shots they showed us , the auto system failed so it was back to guesswork . Remember the attacker gets benefit of doubt rule ? That should apply , not a rule is a rule even if it's 0.5 mm bollox .
-
But watching the FA cup games this week there didn't seem to be any glaring errors by the refs and no suggestion that VAR would have saved any of the games ! There were times when I thought an offside may have been looked at by VAR but importantly there didn't seem any protests by the players they just got on with the game . I'm mainly judging this from Motd and the odd live game but it made the game more enjoyable . Last night after the VAR debacle I lost interest in the game and gave up before the end so missed the last goal !!
-
Another joke VAR decision against Man C this time !
-
He seemed to have lost his way at Saints but could have been the team and the team set up . You have to question Everton though , if he wasn't playing ok in the championship why did they they think he could do well in the Prem at a higher level . MLT did well as he was given or just played a free playing role . He says he wasn't interested in training but his skill made him a legend , he didn't fit in a system !
-
It's better in the fact I don't expect them to lose every game this season but the fact that we don't look like we were ever in the Prem is worrying, So at end of this season I will be hoping for some sort of miracle before next season probably not signing JWP and selling any of the current squad that show any skill ......
-
Perhaps he could be a fitness coach instead π
-
Unfortunately Saints match only showed the goals on Motd , perhaps they were the only highlights ! but watching the other games was good as there was no VAR ! I'm sure a few of the goals would have been put under the not very accurate VAR microscope ! The players didn't protest as far as I saw just got on with the game and no issues seemed to be raised on the after match chats about dodgy decisions etc .

Google says it was because they won 1901 FA Cup as a non league club so they wore similar shirts even though they won't win the FA Cup 2026 π also Google says there were only Div 1 and Div 2 in those days and the Southern League , that Spurs were in, was a mixture of profesional clubs and part timers but still a strong league . So not such a big gap as CP and Macclesfield sides !
-
Meanwhile Ramsdale saves 3 penalties in the shoot out to win the tie.

Wearing commemoration shirts, can't remember of what !
