Three big wins on the bounce and you would settle for a draw? not for me as I want a win only to make it an exciting charge up the table.
-
Was it just me or does this kid go redder and redder by the second? might of blown up if he had another minute.

Indeed we are improving as a team and it's as a result of some players coming back from injury and confidence. However this Chelsea team were pathetic so let's not get too carried away. Beating the Liverpool's and Spurs are the next level we need to hit.

Was he the MOTM?
-
Need to attack Chelski from the off as they will be shaky, plus the fans will start to get on their backs. Have a great chance this Saturday if Koeman picks the right team.

Loved the hang in VVD goal, proper CB attacking on a corner.

That's the problem I don't think we will, it seems to be the trend of good premiership teams who are under pressure to give youth a chance. Liverpool, Utd, City etc would rather buy than produce there own because of the demands from supporters, sponsors and chairmen. This was the subject on Collymore (Talksport) tonight and how true it was.

Enjoy watching the youngsters, thought Reading's Waitrose had a good game, was all over the pitch.

I would take 17th with an FA Cup win. The beauty of a relegation fight is the nerves in the last month of the season gets to you but it's exciting at the end when you survive.

Very true, too much choice this year and quite frankly he is making a few mistakes. They were saying on radio 5 yesterday that JWP and Tadic had swapped roles from the one against Norwich where they both played brilliantly and they also said that Mane was playing a different position too from his MOM performance against Norwich. Why can't he pick to our strengths and stop setting up to counter the opposition.

Quite a long list of players that have come to Southampton become better players, Fonte, Bertrand, Mane, Clyne and Wanyama to name a few. It's those leaving us that don't seem to have the luck or push onto another level. The only one that really comes to mind is Gareth Bale. Lallana, Shaw, Sniderderlin (early days I know) Lambert, Lovren and Clyne, I guess it the team spirit that makes them better players and the working as a unit at Southampton. You would think the next player leaving would think twice before wanting out if it was not all about the money, what are your thoughts?

Shame on the injury but this guy is going to look like a roly poly soon.
-
A typical goal poacher, follows everything in the hope of a rebound and he's had two. Reminds me of Shearer.
-
Someone lent me a DVD of the Rooney major tournament goals for England the other day, Should of known it was going to be a blank one! The guy is a waste of space at these big events as he's either injured, fat or a choker - END OF.

A guy pulls alongside a small boy on the pavement, ‘I’ll give you some sweets if you get in the car.’ ‘No, leave me alone,’ the boy replies. ‘Come on, I’ll take you for ice cream later as well,’ he insists. The boy suddenly stops and turns to the man and says, **** off Dad, I’m not going to White Hart Lane again no matter what you say.’ A one pound coin was thrown onto the pitch at Fartton Park. Police are trying to determine whether it was a missile or a takeover bid. Brendon Rodgers was wheeling his shopping trolley across the supermarket car park when he noticed an old lady struggling with her bags of shopping. He stopped and asked, “Can you manage dear?” to which the old lady replied, “no way you got yourself into this mess, don’t ask me to sort it out!” The new Pompey manager won't stand for any nonsense. Tonight he caught a couple of fans climbing over the wall at Fratton Park. He was furious. He grabbed them by the collars and said, "Now you just get back in there and watch the game till it finishes, we've not thrown it away yet." What's the difference between Lallana and soup? ..Soup is a regular starter. Lovren is out at a bar, and flirting with a good looking woman. She invites him over to her house, and she goes into the bathroom, telling Lovren to get comfortable. She comes back and finds Lovren laying in bed with 2 naked men. She exclaims, “What the hell is going on?!” to which Lovren sheepishly replies: “I’m sorry! I can’t perform without Fonte or Sneiderlin!”

We only want players that can play a full 90 minutes.
-
At least our squad should be able to put in a good cup run you would think? I doubt they will use the untried academy players this year and mix it with those that have played in the first team like Reed.

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal

OMG How old are you Cyber Bully FRY? Maybe you are getting excited about school again tomorrow? -
35m for a 19 y o kid is pathetic, I bet they had to ask for confirmation from Utd if it was 3.5m and not 35m.
-
I expect QPR will drop the 15m asking price as they become desperate, Austin would have to drop his own demands too if he wants out. Shame we wont offered 10m to see if we could get him, would be good for us.
-
Been watching sky sports news this morning and it's nothing like it used to be. They have reporters in the football stadiums now instead of outside training grounds. Loved those funny moments including one of a young lad from Southampton who was dancing on his own, anyone got the footage?

CONFIRMED - Virgil Van Dijk joins on Five Year Deal
Pilchards replied to Brizzie Saints's topic in The Saints
Not a chance as we are planning on having 3 CB's in some games. That leaves us with no cover at all. Last season we had 4 CB's in Alderwald, Yoshi, Fonte and the Gardos. -
When we get desperate to get him off our wage bill we will do what we did last year, send a fax out to all the clubs saying we will pay 40% of his wages for the season if you want him on a years loan. I expect he will end up at a club who are still bank rolled by the premiership money from the last two seasons.
-
My question is this, Why has Koeman not used his links with Barca? Stoke have bought some cracking signings from them and West Ham have just got Song on loan for the season.

How many medicals does he have? I doubt he had one last week as rumoured on here.
