We had some rumours in January that said we had talks with Astori & he was keen to come. His club was giving out vibes that he could leave at the end of this season which could suggest this deal is still on the table. Exciting times for the rumour mill but at least it's better than the Crawley/MK Don/Bristol City ones we used to get?

Spoke to someone who knows Sam Hoskins and he is being released at the end of the season, also stated a large number of other players have been told already they are not staying on. Am I right in saying Butterfield & Richardson are in the last year of there contract as he mentioned them.

I remember we played Spurs at SMS in a reserves match, it looked like almost 2 stands was filled and the attendance given was 5k. (I think) I knew the head steward at the time and his words was 'We never had enough stewards on the night so they gave a false figure for safety reasons.'

From a selfish point of view I don't want any Saints players turning out for England as they come back crocked or confused from a knob of a manager.

Yes, the team we are playing against.

Very nice indeed.

Swansea far too good for us 3-1 them. WBA we will beat them 2-1 Spurs 3 - 0 disaster. Sunderland 2 Saints nil Saints 1 Stoke 1. Does this keep us up ?

Thanks for those mock up's Saint_Donovan, I know nobody has commented on what must of took you a few hours. Good job and keep it up. PS the NIKE one is best.

SAINTS 1-1 West Ham // Post-Match Reaction
Pilchards replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I never knew that the whole ball had to cross the line, I thought that more than half the ball should going over the line for it to be given. Why should it not be as it's more in that it's out? -

I've always believed the media pick players for England and this is an example. Just give it until next season and JayRod will put a stop to who they will pick. His 20 minute sub appearance was one hell of an impact!! -

I've seen two lots of highlights without sound Unfortunetly and I'm not sure if they are saying the ball crossed the line or not? It certainly looked like it did but I suppose that's justice to the Boric one last week. -
If you could get one play in now who would it be? Realistic options

Astori as we need a class defender. -
Ramiez, time to settle or not good enough?

Would not be gutted if sold as I know Cortese would get a fantastic replacement. -

He does some great things and the most stupid things like give the ball away to a west ham player 5 yards away. He's frustrating & exciting if that makes sense. -
Played Off The Park: The Pochettino Effect
Pilchards replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Good point, BUT...... How would you counter it? I would stick one player on Spider for 90 minutes and play a very high line at the back so Saints would have to play most of the football in their own half which will make it harder to pass due to the lack of space. To be honest with you that idea might be crap so I'm going to stick with what I know best and that's breeding Taekwondo champions -
They do good fakes down the Hythe market for a tenner, you never know if they are the same as those in the photo shoots?

Could call ourselves Southampton Forest.

AFC Totton fans because they are us.
-
The only fear I have is when we hit a purple patch under MP. Mcdermott & O'Neill lost there jobs as they could not stop it while Pulis is struggling with his.
-
I love change, that slash shirt was awesome and the fans will support the new badge I'm sure.
-
So Fox pushes Lallana and he never comes back into the picture again? That's him out injured with a groin strain I guess
-
My fear is West Ham are very much like Newcastle, We will press them from the very beginning like we have done against Everton, Chelsea and Liverpool. If we don't take the early goal then they will grind us down and knick a goal by hitting us on the break. Whoever get's the early goal wins.... It's either Saints 1 West Ham 2 or Saints 3 West Ham 1

Needs a lemsip.
