I'd bring Redmond in for Armstrong. He was generally awful last night and clearly needs a rest.
-
Apart from not fouling Saka!
-
As weird as it sounds, that's definitely 2 points dropped. We seemed to lack a bit of belief and bravery on the ball after they went down to 10, almost as if we were a bit scared to lose the game. Ohwell if we get something on Saturday it won't be the worst result in the world.
-
Yes we are playing in our away kit.
-
Agreed. On the basis that Long and Obafemi are likely to either leave or not feature next season that leaves us with 3 strikers, one being a relatively unproven but promising youngster and another being a player that could well be leaving soon.
-
Ings clearly rusty after the injury. Good job Che Adams looks anything but - another top class performance from him.
-
They aren't bad in the middle of the park but other than that it's a distinctly average side and one we should be beating comfortably.
-
I wouldn't say they are in a false position at all. They don't create enough chances and when they do they don't have good enough strikers to score goals. It doesn't matter how well you play, if the opposition scores 1 goal more than you every game in the season then you go down in 20th place.

I've just received an email to say I've been unsuccessful for the Sheff Utd game.
-
McCarthy, KWP, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Romeu, JWP, Redmond, Walcott, Adams, Ings Subs: Forster, Stephens, Salisu, Diallo, Armstrong, Djenepo, Long
-
Armstrong was very anonymous and when he did get the ball he didn't really make the right decisions. I agree he needs a rest.
-
I think he's basically confirmed this with his previous posts.
-
I'd be pretty surprised to see Salisu involved without getting any minutes under his belt for the U23's.
-
If he doesn't sign a new contract by January then to get a half decent fee we'd probably need to sell him next month. Would be a bit of a disaster but I've no doubt Saints are doing all they can.
-
Same team for me with Ings and Redmond back on the bench instead of Long and Tella.
-
Stephens being a good passer of the ball is a total myth. He regularly gives the ball away and has poor awareness in general. Vestergaard is light years ahead of him in that respect.
-
Leeds play very nice football and are a joy to watch at times. Not so good infront of goal though.
-
Can't imagine that's accurate. Maybe before the contract extension in April? I'm sure he would've had a hefty pay rise.
-
Bertrand would only be back-up at a top side so if he doesn't renew it would solely be down to money you'd imagine. I think Bednarek will be off in the summer but he is replaceable. Ings wouldn't be so I really hope it's sorted soon.
-
Vokins or Bertrand in for Stephens. Can see this one being a draw - would be happy with that.
-
It's crazy how they are going off and playing 3 internationals a month in the midst of this pandemic, especially for pointless matches (the nations league games are basically friendlies).
-
We were very good in the first half to be fair. They exposed our system in the end but Ralph has since dropped the line back slightly and the players seem very comfortable now. Other than the second half against Spurs and the first half against Chelsea we have been well worth our current points total. Even though we lost to Palace we were ok and should have got a point at least.
-
Incredible performance from Che tonight. Pretty good from someone who lacks pace, awareness and technique though, wasn't it?
-
Salisu or Stephens in for Bednarek. Redmond in for Ings, Walcott up top. Vokins in for Bertrand. 1-1 draw.
-
It was a tough one for Ralph. He wanted to take Armstrong off because he was fading badly but then Bertrand got injured. Diallo seemed a bit off the pace and Ward Prowse is certainly not a left back. That coupled with Stephens being rusty/generally poor and KWP struggling against Grealish, it was always going to be a dodgy last 30 mins or so.
