Perhaps May should write "My Brexit Deal is Brilliant" on the side of a big red bus. That seems a good way of convincing the "intellectually challenged".
-
She's politician. they all do it.
-
I'm waiting for all those who have resigned plus Rees-Mogg and his ERG, to come up with a workable alternative to May's deal. Think I'll be waiting long?
-
But who is that? Surely not Ralph as it requires someone with a broad knowledge of world football.

Who is the right candidate? We won't know until he's had a dozen or so games.. Then, if he turns out to be the wrong candidate, we'll be looking for another right candidate.

Listening to the R.Solent interview with Hughes on my way to the match, it appeared that he wasn't happy with amount of interference he was getting from Reed. He said that he had little say in transfers and that the 3 who came in the summer were more or less decided before he was given the permanent job. Adam Blackmore and Dave Merrington went on to say that one of the reasons that Koeman left was that he wanted to run the first team without interference and he should decide who was bought and sold. His focus was on winning games and he had little interest in developing young players. The fact that the management didn't share this single-minded approach lead him to believe that the Club lacked ambition and so off he went.

Wouldn't blame Les for the player sales. If players want to leave for double wages and Champions League prospects, you can't realistically keep them. What do you do if they sulk? Drop them from the squad so that they sit around as their contracts run down and they leave on a free? Where he is culpable is the manager situation. Puel was handed a raw deal as we had lost Mane, Pelle and Wanyama and all he had to replace them was Redmond. Pellegrino should have gone earlier and we'll see if Hughes can get any improvement now Les has gone. I think that they'll give him until Xmas theif things are no better they'll bring in someone else who we can all moan about.

With estimated wealth of close to £1bn, I think he knows a bit about business.
-
That's because Fawley Refinery is included in the Port of Southampton
-
Southampton is actually the leading port for the import and export of motor vehicles.
-
Where would the nearly 7000 trucks that cross every day go? Which other Channel port has the infrastructure or capacity?

Stop being so humble.

We have the Northern Ireland Secretary admitting that she didn't know that Nationalists didn't vote for Unionist parties and vice-versa and then Caroline Nokes, responsible for border security, saying that she's never read the Good Friday Agreement. Where do they find these people? I suppose it's our fault for electing the idiots. I know that it's a fundamental principle of democracy that anyone can be elected to Parliament but surely there should be some form of check before someone is appointed as a Minister. Maybe a chat with a senior Civil Servant who can try and find out if they've got aptitude for the proposed post.

I think that you're being delusional if you think that what the fans think or do has any effect on the running of a multi-million pound business. There were many quite vehement protests during the wilderness years of Branfoot but none had any effect. The thing that did was falling attendances in an era when gate money was more important than it is now. In particular, an evening game against Ipswich was said to have had an attendance of about 11500. As anyone who was in ground could have seen, it was more like 8500-9000 which was terrible for a first-team fixture. Branfoot left shortly after.

Who actually appoints Reed's replacement? Surely it needs to be someone with a good knowledge of the football scene worldwide. That's not Ralph or Kat, so who advises them?
-
You would have thought that they wouldn't have sacked Les without having his replacement lined up. Can't afford to hang about with over a quarter of the season gone. If changes are going to be made, the sooner the better.

Could that be connected with the fact that Singapore has just signed a free trade agreement with the EU?
-
Steven Seagal was a navy cook in some film or other and went on to rout the bad guys single-handed. So they must be a tough bunch.
-
How do you think that the troubles were ended? By the two sides talking. There was no military solution and a certain amount of dialogue was going on for years until Blair finally sorted it out. Pragmatism won in the end.
-
Are you referring to Willie Whitelaw in 1972?
-
Liam Fox did. He said that a trade deal with the EU would be "one of the easiest in human history". He then said that we could copy and paste all of the EU's 40 trade deals "the second after midnight at the end of March 2019". He later said that no deal was the most likely option. Along with "failing" Grayling, he must be one of the most incompetent ministers in a pretty useless bunch.

Boris is anything that you want him to be. He'd probably support Corbyn if he thought it would advance his ambitions.

Don't sit on the fence. Tell us what you really think.
