As it's Panto season: "Oh no we're not" (possibly).

Despite his calls for an election (which is probably unlikely in the short term), he's happy to sit back and let the Tories carry on fighting amongst themselves and pushing their party into an almighty split.

Could equally be said about some of her potential successors.

That's the problem with voting. It gives people false hope. As Ken Livingstone said: "If voting changed anything, they'd abolish it".

The sex change can't have helped.

When are we going to see Trans Non-Binary Saint?
-
Probably wondering what a "deep roster" is.
-
The non-EU borders, yes.
-
Yet non-EU migration is some thing that the government could control if they wanted to. Throughout May's 5 years as Home Secretary non-EU immigration was at roughly 150000 per year. If reducing numbers was so important, why did she do nothing?

Armando Iannucci was recently asked if he'd like to make a Brexit version of The Thick of It, he said that there was no point because the reality was more absurd than anything that he could envisage.

Just a reminder that the trains from this part of the world to London are likely to be disrupted on Saturday. The Southwestern Railways website is of little help. Maybe check on Friday.

The longest journey begins with a single step.

I was actually agreeing with you. I should have included the quote that you were quoting. However, for those with no educational qualifications, the vote was 30% to 70% for leave. For degree level or higher it was 68% to 32% for remain.

So fresh produce could come in tariff free but the EU could maintain their tariffs on imports. I'm sure the UK farmers would love that.
-
Yeah, good idea. Under WTO rules, car parts would incur a 10% tariff every time they cross an EU-UK border. So, in the case of the BMW Minis, the crankshaft crosses the channel 3 times so thats over 30% added to the cost. Or the Bentley bumper which is made in Eastern Europe, sent to Crewe for further work then back to Germany for finishing and then back to the UK for fitting. Then there's the fact that these factories carry no stock. They operate on a "just in time" basis so cannot afford any delays at border crossings. Those are just 2 examples. Other car parts cross the channel many more times.

Perhaps May should write "My Brexit Deal is Brilliant" on the side of a big red bus. That seems a good way of convincing the "intellectually challenged".
-
She's politician. they all do it.
-
I'm waiting for all those who have resigned plus Rees-Mogg and his ERG, to come up with a workable alternative to May's deal. Think I'll be waiting long?
-
But who is that? Surely not Ralph as it requires someone with a broad knowledge of world football.
-
Who is the right candidate? We won't know until he's had a dozen or so games.. Then, if he turns out to be the wrong candidate, we'll be looking for another right candidate.

Listening to the R.Solent interview with Hughes on my way to the match, it appeared that he wasn't happy with amount of interference he was getting from Reed. He said that he had little say in transfers and that the 3 who came in the summer were more or less decided before he was given the permanent job. Adam Blackmore and Dave Merrington went on to say that one of the reasons that Koeman left was that he wanted to run the first team without interference and he should decide who was bought and sold. His focus was on winning games and he had little interest in developing young players. The fact that the management didn't share this single-minded approach lead him to believe that the Club lacked ambition and so off he went.

Wouldn't blame Les for the player sales. If players want to leave for double wages and Champions League prospects, you can't realistically keep them. What do you do if they sulk? Drop them from the squad so that they sit around as their contracts run down and they leave on a free? Where he is culpable is the manager situation. Puel was handed a raw deal as we had lost Mane, Pelle and Wanyama and all he had to replace them was Redmond. Pellegrino should have gone earlier and we'll see if Hughes can get any improvement now Les has gone. I think that they'll give him until Xmas theif things are no better they'll bring in someone else who we can all moan about.

With estimated wealth of close to £1bn, I think he knows a bit about business.

That's because Fawley Refinery is included in the Port of Southampton

Southampton is actually the leading port for the import and export of motor vehicles.
