  1. Well he is a hypocritical bigot so he's well qualified for high office.
  2. Now open
  3. "Failing" Grayling only took 20 hours to respond so I'm sure he'll have it all sorted soon. More seriously, after approx 150 incidents this year, you would think that some contingency planning would be in place.
  4. Interesting to hear him say that 5 players have suddenly "recovered" from injury and that they've seen that "the train is leaving the station and they have to get on board".
  5. Wouldn't be surprised to see Poch go at the end of the season to MU or Real Madrid. He hasn't got that big a squad at Spurs and they'll always struggle to match the spending power of the super-rich clubs. Their new ground must have made a hole in their finances which will take a while to recover from.
  6. Not to mention insulting your gardener!
  7. Self-serving hypocrite, Rees-Mogg calling for May to go after she won the confidence vote (whatever happened to democracy?) and then, a week later, pledging his undying loyalty.
  8. Of course the person in charge of non-EU immigration for 5 years was one Theresa May and she did sod all.
  9. Half of the Kingsland overdosing on hot chocolate....
  10. 27 countries have more negotiating power than 1 country. What a surprise!
  11. As it's Panto season: "Oh no we're not" (possibly).
  12. Despite his calls for an election (which is probably unlikely in the short term), he's happy to sit back and let the Tories carry on fighting amongst themselves and pushing their party into an almighty split.
  13. Could equally be said about some of her potential successors.
  14. That's the problem with voting. It gives people false hope. As Ken Livingstone said: "If voting changed anything, they'd abolish it".
  15. The sex change can't have helped.

    Mary Saint

When are we going to see Trans Non-Binary Saint?
  17. Probably wondering what a "deep roster" is.
  18. The non-EU borders, yes.
  19. Yet non-EU migration is some thing that the government could control if they wanted to. Throughout May's 5 years as Home Secretary non-EU immigration was at roughly 150000 per year. If reducing numbers was so important, why did she do nothing?
  20. Armando Iannucci was recently asked if he'd like to make a Brexit version of The Thick of It, he said that there was no point because the reality was more absurd than anything that he could envisage.
  21. Just a reminder that the trains from this part of the world to London are likely to be disrupted on Saturday. The Southwestern Railways website is of little help. Maybe check on Friday.
  22. The longest journey begins with a single step.
  23. I was actually agreeing with you. I should have included the quote that you were quoting. However, for those with no educational qualifications, the vote was 30% to 70% for leave. For degree level or higher it was 68% to 32% for remain.
  24. So fresh produce could come in tariff free but the EU could maintain their tariffs on imports. I'm sure the UK farmers would love that.
  25. Yeah, good idea. Under WTO rules, car parts would incur a 10% tariff every time they cross an EU-UK border. So, in the case of the BMW Minis, the crankshaft crosses the channel 3 times so thats over 30% added to the cost. Or the Bentley bumper which is made in Eastern Europe, sent to Crewe for further work then back to Germany for finishing and then back to the UK for fitting. Then there's the fact that these factories carry no stock. They operate on a "just in time" basis so cannot afford any delays at border crossings. Those are just 2 examples. Other car parts cross the channel many more times.
