well they have smashed the glass ceiling many more time than us. Look at their trophies over the last 20 or so years.

I'm not a great fan of Reed but it may not have been him who didn't want us to push on, but perhaps KL. I suspect she was very comfortable watching her asset go up in value without any risk. Reed would only be able to push the bot out so far, and he would have seen what happened to NC when t seems to me that he tried to spend more than she wanted
  3. if he refuses to play due to state of mind, I assume that will cost the club, as his value will drop. Liverpool will gain as well as he will have got his way. Perhaps it would be best to make it clear that under no circumstances will he be sold untilhe has played at least 20 more games for us. That may focus his mind
  4. It would be a case of cutting off our noses to spite our faces to boo him. As long as he comes back and shows desire then we should back him. At the end of the day the better he does the better the gets a return and in principle can invest more once he leaves
  5. It was a sobering period, but I was 11 and they were the greatest team in the word to my mind. I was at the 3 home games you mention, right at the front of the Archers end wall behind the goal
  6. I thought the game where we 3 down to WHU and then drew 3 all was that period
  7. i think we will not lose Gib as we have conceded the fishing rights
  8. ???? I don't have a boss, except 'her indoors' of course
  9. lol, I cant work out how to get images from my computer onto here> it wants urls all the time
  10. At no time during the Cold War as I was growing up,did I ever feel the threat of a nuclear bomb going off (To be fair I was too young to know what was going on during the Cuban crisis) I would not put money on this not happening in the near future. The treats of this will not only be from NK, but many terrorist organisations spread throughout the world. If they sent one off, where could you retaliate. I read about 5 years ago that the Russians couldn't account for a 2 or 3 suitcase bombs that had terrible capabilities for destruction, that were lost in the breakup of the Soviet Union. The fear was that they were out there to be sold. It is sad but I expect to wake up one day and see that a city has been nuked. We are powerless to Oppenheimers pandoras box
  11. I see that Ox has now signed for Liverpool. Is the new trend/trick 'I only want to play for Liverpool' that gets the price down for the buyer
  12. I'm ambivalent about Davis but I don't think he is ducking there. I still cant understand how that went in, but it is history. Davis is a hardworking player who with a bit more guile would not be at SFC but a top 6 club. Anyone any good gets taken away.
  13. that's what I thought, no offer apparently made and so how can that be improved? Would the owners of Liverpool come out with such a statement they did in their apology to then go back on it,I suppose if they buckle re Coutinho, they may not be to their word re VVD. I assume they are waiting for us to contact them offering VVD for sale
  14. As annoying as it is for me personally, I have to admit that Liverpool are going to be a superb side soon, and VVD would be one of the major final building blocks, to them being back to the top of the tree.
  15. No doubt fanciful and unikely to happen, but if NK did send a few of US cities to ash, would the US ever recover. In that time they would be overtaken in the pecking order by China, who would become potentially the most powerful nation on earth while the US had to try and recover. Yes China would suffer from some fall out but not the carnage the US would have. It is pretty unpalatable but the Chinese seem to me to have opened the Pandoras box and cant shut it now.
  16. I'm not a fan of Reed but I don't think it will be his doing if VVD goes to Liverpool. The new owners will off to a bad start though.
  17. is this from the Labour party who didn't make themselves clear what they wanted in the brexit campaign. A party that needs to get out of Europe at all costs so that they can renationalise, a nonsense that is so expensive and unlikely to improve anything. Europe are united and not breaking ranks in the negotiations, while we have people putting cracks into our own position, for their own political agendas
  18. yep but you do like to turn the knife on Redmond as much as you can. Therefore I can understand why posters think you are point scoring
  19. He was going to join SPurs and jump ship. I know that as a work contact, socialised with him and he was open that he was following Poch to Spurs. It was all agreed as far as I recall
  20. There is no way Chrisiensen will be coming to us IMHO
  21. then Let him stay, let him stay
  22. Let him go, let him go. As long as its not Liverpool. There is no guarantee he will come back as the same player as when he last played for us. The fee will be at a figure that we may be able to get a goal scorer in
  23. I'm not sure that is the case. I suspect we bought as many duds as good ones under his watch as well. Was VVD or Mane bought when Mitchell was here? it is a question not a statement
  24. I suggest that someone who comes on to impart some info with fellow fans and then constantly being called on the lines of a liar or fantasist, is enough for them to not bother.
